Looks like there'll be a playable demo of the games at E3 from June 11 to June 13. Let's see what more can be found out from that! Also, it appears someone made a leak back in May on 4chan, and some of its details turned out to be true as of the Pokémon Direct reveal. It'd be interesting to see if everything else in that leak is also true. I STRONGLY recommend opening a new tab for this photo. It'll be much more easier to read that way.

I think some of those things might be true, but one thing that throws it off is the “first” Fairy gym. The first Fairy gym was in 6th Gen. Honestly, I think this leak is a mix of facts and fiction.

I agree. There are some things that are too close to call it fake (Names being dead-on with the ones revealed) but this feels more like someone who got a brief look at a few things and that's all.

Yeah, it's like what you said. Sometimes the most credible leaks have false information in them to throw the higher-ups off the scent. I personally am taking the rest of it with a grain of salt, but it does look pretty convincing to me. Remember, though, this leak was posted back in May, before the Pokemon Direct began. Either the leaker has an inside source, or they were SUPER lucky they got a number of things correct.

It's entirely possible that the Direct was pre-recorded two weeks or so in advance and the leaker was involved in the writing, production or editing process in some way. That would be one way he would have access to the information we saw in the Direct, but the rest is made up. Gigantamaxing as a concept honestly sounds ridiculous to me, the form changes he described sound like the Pokémon Showdown April Fool's Day sprites. And I know this is the generation that just gave us Wooloo the toilet sheep, but "Bede" is both not a common name, and way too close to the French word "pede" for me to believe it.
Edit: What do you know, the French also gave to word "pede" to the Vietnamese, who sometimes spell it as "be-de."

We've got new info, courtesy of the playable demo! Note that there could be more info still coming in. - You can use the Poké Ball Plus with Pokémon Sword & Shield to store Pokémon.
- There is a Water-type Gym Leader called Nessa, who uses a Dynamaxed Drednaw. This is yet another confirmed fact from the May leak that I posted at the top of this page.
- Grookey is capable of using a new move called Branch Poke.
- Areas in the Wild Area include Lake Miloch, Rolling Hills, and Lake Axewell.
- Notification icons from your friends appear on the left of the screen, allowing you to see what they're up to, what they've caught, make trade requests, and so forth as part of the WideComm item. Other players can appear in the Wild Area when you're connected and they can give items through both local and online connections.
- You can only take one Pokémon to a Max Raid Battle and can choose based on party or box. Each battle gets a ten-turn limit.
- Dynamax Pokémon can sometimes use multiple moves. In Max Raid Battles, the player that can Dynamax changes each turn, but only one can per Raid Battle.
- A barrier spawns around half of the battlefield that needs to be taken down before the Pokémon can be damaged again. Each attack reduces at least one part of the gauge.
- Pokémon HOME can only transfer Pokémon to Sword & Shield if they appear in the Galar Pokédex.
- Many familiar Pokémon are back. Here's a complete list of the Pokémon confirmed to appear in the games so far.
- If you connect a new Poké Ball Plus with Pokémon Sword & Shield, you can send the Mythical Pokémon Mew to the games.
Nessa: Also, it hasn't been mentioned on Serebii, but I found this on Tumblr. It looks like the traveling companion of the opposite gender might have a role in the games' storyline. The female PC appeared in the playable demo as an NPC and her preliminary(?) name is Gloria.

Also, they revealed two more Pokémon... There’s Yamper, an Electric corgi Pokémon, and Impidimp, a Dark/Fairy imp Pokémon.

They just announced that only some Pokemon will be able to transfer or be obtainable in Gen 8.Seriously, this is very close to a deal-breaker for me. I'm definitely not going to pre-order until it's cleared up. This isn't Gen 3 where transferring was impossible by technical limitations. This is just not wanting to model the Pokemon -- all of which already have models from the 3DS games that could be upscaled and used in the interim before an update down the road -- and rush Pokemon Home out as soon as possible instead of waiting a few months like Bank did and releasing a product that isn't half-finished. This is a $60 video games too, 1.5x the price of the previous Pokemon games, with half of the content. I'm honestly shocked that with the absolutely insane amount of money Pokemon brings in, they can't just hire some more people to finish the models.
