Thanos Sonia’s probably going to end up being Ash’s traveling companion over the female trainer now.  I’d rather see Ash either travel by himself or be the tutor for the female playable character. Sonia will instead being helping her grandmother about DynaMax. |

Is it me or does Professor Magnolia looks like Supreme Court Justice Ruth Badger Ginsberg? The face reminds me of the Supreme Court Justice.

The pattern so far is that if the female PC has a major role in the game if the player plays as a male, the female PC is Ash's traveling companion. May and Serena were the primary rivals, and Dawn was a secondary rival and the professor's assistant. Similarly, in Gens 1/2, 5, and 7, where Kris, Hilda and Selene had minor or no roles in the male PC's story, we got the first two gym leaders, a recurring gym leader, and the group of Trial Captains plus Lillie. It's too early to tell if Scottish girl will have a major role in SWSH. Sonia could have a Lillie-sized role the story, or it could be more comparable to Cedric Juniper. It's really impossible to say.

I certainly hope so. Of the many changes going from Sun and Moon to USUM that I disliked, having Rotom taking up the screen and jabbering in my ear every five seconds is high up on the list. |

See, I’d love to see that. That was an awesome twist and that would be an awesome direction to take the anime in. Maybe tackle how Ash takes the betrayal. Something they should have done more of in Pokémon BW. |

Personally, I didn’t mind him too much. I mean, he does talk way too often, but I still appreciated the idea. Plus, this version makes me laugh because the Pokédex is now a Rotom iPhone. So many gags involving putting him into a pocket and apps are now possible. Plus updates and WiFi. |

They touched on this a little bit with Malva in XY, but just made her turn against Team Flare in the end and not explore it much |
