So there's a Nintendo direct happening on the 6th for you folks in America. We're getting info about upcoming 3DS and Switch games. Hopefully we'll get some more info about the paid online service while we're at it.

So as I posted in the Smash thread, I just ordered myself a Switch and pre-ordered Smash. Looking for any recommendations on games, controllers, etc.

The Switch should come with a grip to put the Joy Cons in to simulate a regular controller for the time being. I've been using that for a year now and had no problems.
Hell, the only reason I bought a pro controller was so that I could do multiplayer against my bro in Smash once it comes out.
As for games... I recommend trying out any of the following games:
Super Mario Odyssey
Splatoon 2
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Kirby: Star Allies
The World Ends With You: Final Mix
Rocket League (This game is multi-platform so you don't have to have a Switch to play it. It even has Cross-play!)
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
Fairune Collection (A cheap e-shop title that is short but fun)
Azure Striker Gunvolt HD (Also an e-shop title)
There's more than that to recommend but I don't want to overwhelm you too much.

PichuAuraGuardian19Speedy_Fox_IVOk so i bought me a nintendo 2ds Pokémon edition along with Alpha Sapphire and Pokémon moon. My question be..how does one get a Pokémon trainer id thing. So like when they give shit out youre able to get it through internet. Idk if that explains properly

I'd also add Hyrule Warriors to that list--but Warriors games aren't always everyone's cup of tea, so I'd watch gameplay of it first before purchasing to make sure you like what you see. But if you do get it, you're in for a while, since it's a loooong road to 100% completion.
Also, I concur with the recommendation of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but you may enjoy it more if you play the first game first.

Pokémon games tend to get announced in their own Directs held by Game Freak and have done so for years now. I don't know why everybody keeps on thinking that they're gonna change that.
In other news: That Direct got me hyped to hell and back! So many neat games are coming to the Switch. But nothing got me more excited than this:
