Well then. I sure wasn't expecting that. Looks like Nintendo gonna squeeze all they can from the 3ds line. Seeing that the 3DS is one of Nintendo's most popular hand helds I can easily see why.

A video about a Touhou fangame on the official Nintendo Youtube page. This is quite the bizarre timeline that we are currently living in.

Controversial opinion time!
I think that Nintendo should keep on supporting both the Switch and the 3DS.

Controversial opinion time! I think that Nintendo should keep on supporting both the Switch and the 3DS. I can understand that mindset, considering they came out with the New 2DS not that long ago. Honestly, there’s a small part of me that wants them to not bring the next main series Pokémon game to the Switch (If only because there’s a chance it’s going to be another Kanto remake, and I’m of the controversial opinion that Kanto and Gen 1 are seriously overrated). I’ve actually had this argument with a good friend of mine, especially when it comes to Pokémon continuing to come out with two slightly different versions. And honestly, I do understand where he’s coming from. If a game like Breath of the Wild can be stored inside a cartridge about the same size as a 3DS cartridge, then they should be able to put a lot of gameplay into a single Pokémon game. Then again, my friend also wants us to be able to go to all the current regions in the next game, which I’m against if only because any new region/generation after that would have a lot less gameplay.

As awesome an idea of visiting every region in a a mainline Pokémon game is it just wouldn't work with out becoming really repetitive. Each region is big and if you're gonna add them all you need to have stuff to do in them and unless you're rehashing the games (which is bad idea by the way) You're gonna run out of ideas real quickly. Such an idea for a game also takes a lot of time to make so unleas the Pokémon game that 's planed for the switch is coming out in 2020-2022 I highly doubt we'll even get an "every region" game at all in the future.

Agreed. I would love to see Diamond & Pearl remakes, though. The Distortion World would look amazing on the Switch.
