Another game bites the dust: Yooka-Laylee has been cancelled on the Wii U and will now be on the Switch.

There's going to be a broadcast about the Nintendo Switch on Nintendo's official youtube and twitch channels at 9:30 AM EST on Friday 13th.
For those of you who are in my time zone that's 3 PM AEDT on the same day.
Monolith soft may be showcasing a new game during this presentation however they are also working on the new Zelda game so hype you might get from them promoting the presentation may be because of that.

So confession time. Ever since the announcement of EarthBound Beginnings being released for the Wii-U virtual console every time Nintendo has made an announcement my first thought has been "MOTHER 3?".
I just figured I'd mention that with all of the MOTHER 3 rumours that have been going on lately.

The Nintendo Switch presentation is only 24 hours away! Get hyped!
And no, I'm not posting that song due to Smash rumours I just like using that song whenever I have hype for anything Nintendo related.

The presentation was good. Apparently plenty of people weren't impressed, but what you gonna do.
How do you guys feel about paying for online? I was hoping Nintendo wouldn't go down that road, but here we are. But it is annoying, I pay for my Internet already, why do I need to pay them to use it for games?

Eh, I'm not sure if I'm going to buy it yet or not, but it really depends on how much you are charged to use the Internet and how often the charge comes up. But again, it comes down to whether I buy it or not. I'm not really a console guy myself; I prefer handhelds. I am considering this one just because of its portability, but then it depends on if they introduce any more games. I thought Super Mario Odyssey looked interesting and I've been thinking about trying out a Zelda game, so Breath of the Wild might be good. I've never had many chances to play that series of games, so this might be a good one. I think my biggest issue was the lack of games I was interested in. I feel like this was the time when Nintendo needed to pull out all the stops to make people want to play this system. Give us a new Metroid game with Samus as the main character. Give us a main series Pokémon console version. That alone would have secured a lot of system buys. I know Sun and Moon just came out recently, but even just announcing the next game would have been pretty hype.

I agree about that even if they just hinted pokemon , it would have been hype. Maybe they're saving some stuff for e3. Thing is, this was a Japanese presentation, and Pokemon has been losing ground in japan, so they probably decided to save that for a western Nintendo direct. I see how being a handheld guy can affect your decision to buy the switch. Also, for a handheld, it's pricey. Though that depends on what you think the system is. Though, last I heard, metroid doesn't move that many consoles, at least not as many as zelda mario. So it makes sense too me why they didn't devote time to it in this presentation. I do like what they showed. The joy cons seem awesome to me. The games that are coming seem promising. Though launch line up is weak. I like zelda, but no the biggest fan, I've finished one 3d and one 2d one. Hey, if you wanna play some zelda, pick up ocarina of time 3d if you haven't. I finished it and it was pretty good.

I haven't bought a console since I got a PS2 in 2003. That's not gonna change with the Switch.

I spent a post geeking out over the games I'm interested in and then you're all just "I'm not interested in most of the games they have." XD
