So looking closer at the map of the Galar region (I keep on almost typing Galah when typing that. XD) I come to the conclusion that it's not just based off of the UK. It's the UK but upside down. Looks that way. I can even make out certain landmarks that I'm familiar with. Which is...an odd feeling. Looks like Ireland wasn't invited though. Good.

How original. To be fair, the first four regions are just cut and paste from various parts of Japan. And Kalos is literally just France.

Good.Looks like the potato famine was more effective in the Pokémon worldAny way... I hope they keep the dialogue choices they had in Gen VII for Sword & Shield. This tweet has convinced me that I want to pick the female trainer first and pick the dialogue choices that sound the most Scottish. XD Edit: I don't care what Game Freak and/or Nintendo say. I'm headcanoning the Female Protag as Scottish and nothing can change my mind about it.

Sorry if I'm being dumb, but...I am. King Kazma from the great movie Summer Wars Oh yeah, I've heard of that movie! I'm hoping I could watch it at some point in the future.

Honestly I'm even more excited for the next anime series than I am for the games. There's no way they can call it "Pokemon the Series: Sword and Shield" and make it a comedy

Personally, I don’t see Scorbunny being a Fire/Fighting-Type. I’ll admit it’s possible, but Gamefreak has been pretty good about changing up the type combinations. Some friends and I were discussing it, and we think Ground, Fairy, or Electric might be possible.
As for Sobble, my friends and I were thinking about Steel and Dragon, but then one friend brought up Ghost because of its ability to camouflage itself.
Then, with Grookey, I can see Fighting, Dark, Rock, or Ground being some possible type combos.
But then again, it’s not like any of us predicted Rowlet would become the Grass/Ghost Decidueye, so who really knows but Gamefreak?
Anyway, another topic I’ve been thinking about: What kinds of new Pokémon would you like to see?
Britain and Ireland have so many amazing myths that could be used to make Pokémon. I really want to see a Griffin, a Unicorn (besides Rapidash), a Leprechaun, a Troll, and a Dullahan. There’s many others I’d love to see, but those are just some of my thoughts.
EDIT: Also, the Loch Ness Monster. That is all.

There's no way they can call it "Pokémon the Series: Sword and Shield" and make it a comedy I’m just hoping they trim down the cast this time around. With so many characters, only so much can happen. Plus, considering the male trainer, we’ll probably see Ash in a collared shirt and trousers.

Honestly I'm even more excited for the next anime series than I am for the games. There's no way they can call it "Pokémon the Series: Sword and Shield" and make it a comedy Iâm just hoping they trim down the cast this time around. With so many characters, only so much can happen. Plus, considering the male trainer, weâll probably see Ash in a collared shirt and trousers. With any luck, the SM formula will be a one-time thing and we'll be back to seeing Ash with two or maybe three traveling partners in SS (SwSh?), in a more traditional format like the other 20 years. It's hard to tell on the outfit. XY was pretty close to Calem and SM was Elio exactly, but AG and especially DP were a lot more different than the game characters. On another note, even if this "leak" from over two years ago got a lot wrong, it was still way closer than I ever expected. I mean, look at this. "Island based on Great Britain." The evil team wants to "capture powerful Pokémon to use as weapons" and the games are called sword and shield? Claim that the cover legendary will have a different form for each version, one an attack form and the other a defense form? The names almost make that sound like a realistic theory. I know it's probably complete coincidence, but it's still pretty funny. Maybe it's this generation's version of the Ash x Serena story from 2006.
