I agree on most of that... however, ice types are more than just glass cannons IMO. To my memory, ice-types are tanks, similar to steel-types, but specialize in sp. attacks while steel-types are physical attackers. Main issue is that ice-types have the most weaknesses, so... having a lot of def/sp. def doesn't mean much. Examples: Cloyster, Avalugg, Alolan Sandslash, Lapras, Jynx... Sure, there are Pokémon that don't fit the mold, but... eh, just my take on it. The biggest unintentional joke Pokémon to my knowledge: Aurorus. So much effort just to get this beauty, and then you realize just how terrible the Pokémon is in combat. Weak to six common types (4x weak to fighting and steel) and resistant to uncommon types (or at least types you would NEVER have out against an ice-type in the first place). Highest stat is HP of all things, and has a terrible speed stat (ha, ice-types). It dies to just about everything, and in one hit. Not a big fan of refrigerate (its main ability) either. Such a shame, because it looks so cool (ba dum tshhh)... Anyway, if ice-types had high speed, they'd probably be broken... but I do think Crabominable could use some help. As it stands, I'd rather run Kingler or Crawdaunt. I'm going to start off by saying I do agree with you on the whole bulky Ice-types thing. I just wanted to add something regarding one of the examples you listed. Regarding Alolan Sandslash, I have seen it used pretty well, despite it having a number of weaknesses. One thing that benefits it is if you have its Hidden Ability Slush Rush, which is basically the Hail equivalent of Sand Rush. It does require set-up, so it's not the best Mon, but I'd say it at least has more potential than some of these other bulky Ice-types. Not to mention it can learn Leech Life, which is very handy with healing. It also has access to Aurora Veil if you wanted to make it a tank. Also, fun fact: Ice-types don't have the most weaknesses. Rock and Grass do. Ice-types don't have the most weaknesses, my apologies on that one. But when you mix ice with another typing, it usually creates something disgusting. Jynx, for example, has six weaknesses and two resistances. Mamoswine - five weaknesses, one immunity (electric, ha) and one resistance. Walrein - weak to four common types, and is resistant to water and ice attacks... wonderful. Froslass - Dies to pretty much all common types. I love Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash, man...

Here's something I've been tinkering with-improving bad Megas. There are a lot of good Mega Pokemon in the game, but there are also many which are...sub-par. So my question for you guys is this: What Mega(s) do you want to see improved and how would you improve them?
For example: Mega Pidgeot isn't a bad Pokemon, but it's very outclassed in its tier and can't really make much use of its stats. So personally I would increase its special move pool and switch its ability from No Guard to Gale Wings now that GW is no longer quite as broken.

So in trying to "fix" Mega Audino some insane part of me decided it would be a good idea to turn it into a bulky special attacker...with Protean.
...I've created a monster.

I finally managed to get Citra working with the hack, so I was able to record some footage of a few things I've been working on. Unfortunately since my computer is rubbish the audio was all distorted and weird, so I left it out. Enjoy!

Haven't made a ton of progress since the last post, but I have a question for all of you: If Ultra Beasts could have an ability besides Beast Boost, what would be good ones for each Beast?

Are any of them physical glass cannons? If so give them Huge Power because that would be hilariously broken. XD

I haven't been working on this much, but a thought occurred to me earlier: If Seviper were to become an evolution would it be better for it to evolve from Arbok or be a split evolution of Ekans?
A lot of people might argue the former, but in looking at the differences in their stats I feel like it would make more sense for Arbok and Seviper to be parallel evolutions. What is everyone else's thoughts on this concept? And to take it a step further, are there any other Pokémon you can think of which should be split evolutions?

I don't want Arbok to be a mid-tier evolution. I can't think of any other split evolutions... but I could suggest switching Venemoth with Butterfree :P

Venonat evolving into Butterfree? Metapod into Venomoth? Doesn’t really work. Personally, I don’t really think Seviper needs to evolve from Ekans. It’s fine on its own. Plus, Seviper backwards is Repives...

So I was joking about switching Butterfree's and Venemoth's appearance. So basically, you're saying that Seviper doesn't deserve love? Boooooooo.

So here's the compromise I came up with. Late in the game I've made an item available called the Eerie Statue. (It's actually just a modified Relic Statue from B/W as its code still exists even though it is normally unobtainable.) When used on certain Pokemon it will trigger an abnormal evolution such as Ekans to Seviper and a few others. It works surprisingly well, although it does mess up level scaling a bit.

Digging deeper it looks like I've hit the jackpot. There are over 100 unused items in the game's code that are left over from previous generations. They do nothing on their own, but with a bit of editing there's a lot I can probably do with them. New evolutionary items, new Mega Stones, etc.
