Well my copy of Mobile Suit Gundam arrived in the mail today. That is quite the large DVD case. I guess it makes sense seeing that they had to fit the entire show onto 8 discs. I will probably start watching it tomorrow if I get the chance.

Well, this might be a bit off topic.
The Unicorn model that's showcased on recent event(s) had its scale a little bigger than usual gunpla, I'd say it's the MG ver.
With features not available to few other gunpla. Weapons, magnetic parts, changeable mode, and such.

AGE is even less well regarded (as for me, I love the second arc and the compilation movie that ignores the larger story and focuses only on the rivalry of the two main characters of the second arc) in the fandom but it also has kickass music.

Watched the first 7 episodes (A.K.A. the first disc in the complete series) of Mobile Suit Gundam. It's been pretty cool so far. The show sure does reek of the 70's at times though.

Are you watching dubbed or subbed? Dubbed but the DVD has an option for subs on it. It's weird hearing Lan Hikari pilot the Gundam. XD |

So it turns out the G Reco being based after Turn A was just a mistranslation. Phew. I like G Reco and all but there's no way I could see it occurring after Turn A. Now the Photon Torpedos on the other hand give a good basis for it occurring quite close to Turn A though. Combine that with the DG cells from G Gundam and you could easily have the Moonlight Butterfly.

What about it? I haven't watched it nor do I ever plan to because I don't watch Gundam for "To be a Master" style anime.
