Same answer as first, but if he was to catch another Pokemon, I would want him to catch a Smeargle.

As for the third question, Golfer2012, I don't know what you mean by "Hunter". Did you mean Hunter J? Because she apparently died as far as we know.

I have to agree that Lucario would be the perfect Pokemon for him, but with characters like Cameron having Lucario, it's doubtful that Ash will get one.

I think Ash's Bulbasaur should have evolve, same for his Squirtle.

It's really rare for one of Ash's old Pokemon that he caught in previous regions to evolve. The only ones that have done that are probably Phanpy and Cyndaquil.

I personally would hate to have him evolve his previous Pokemon. Squirtlewartortle can't, being leader of the Squirtle Squad, and having Bulbasaur evolve would totally negate the fact that he defied his own kind for the sake of staying the same. It seems kind of pointless to have every single one of his Pokemon evolve to their final form. That isn't in Ash's character, and he would feel like a completely different person if he suddenly did so; a stranger, if you will.
