Hey, everyone! I'm Pichu and this is your PokeNews!
In today's new episode of the anime, the battle continues for Ash and Kotetsu. First, we saw Boldore face off against Hydreigon, a battle in which Hydreigon defeated it. Then, Oshawott tried his luck against it and also lost. It looked like Hydreigon was just going to keep taking out Ash's Pokemon until Pignite came out and beat it with its new Brick Break attack. Kotetsu sent out Ferrothorn next, and it was also beaten easily by Pignite. Next, Samurott was sent out and it easily beat Pignite. Ash then sent Pikachu out and it easily defeated Samurott. Kotetsu tried Swanna next, but it was defeated by Pikachu as well.
Now, I'm thinking that Kotetsu only has five Pokemon because when he sends out Riolu, the pictures make it look like Ash is telling him that he needed six Pokemon for the battle and Kotetsu's freaking out. So, Ash switches in Unfezant, but Riolu somehow manages to beat it. Snivy is then sent out and battles against Riolu for a bit. And just when it looks like Snivy's going to defeat Riolu, of course it evolves into Lucario. So the episode ends with the premise that Snivy and Pikachu are going to be dealing with Kotetsu's Lucario now.
Okay, so in my opinion, the win could still be variable in that the rest of the battle will have to take up at least half of the next episode. Ash could still possibly win, but the last battle's going to come down to Pikachu and Lucario, so this may be a bad moment for the anime if Ash's Pikachu loses to a Lucario when it managed to tie with a Latios in the last League. Sure, Lucario is an exceptional Pokemon, but if Pikachu was able to tie with a Latios, it should still be able to beat a Lucario. However, I get the feeling that Kotetsu might win. We'll have to wait and see since next episode is the last one for the league. If Ash does win, they would basically have to show a scene with maybe one of Virgil's Pokemon beating him. However, Kotetsu's probably going to win.
Anyway, in other news, the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game has been announced for the US. It's called PMD: Gates to Infinity. It's only for the 3DS this time, so you can tell that Nintendo's starting to make the jump from the DS to the 3DS. For all we know, the next Pokemon games may be for the 3DS (That is, if there are any).
So that's the news. I'm Pichu and this has been your PokeNews.

I watched the new episode and I'm rather depressed after watching it. Ash's first two Pokémon were squashed, you can't say it any other way. Now, we know that Kotetsu has only five Pokémon with him and now it's Snivy versus Lucario in the next episode. Ash still has three Pokémon, so that Kotetsu will win with five Pokémon against Ash's six. That's really a shame and it makes Ash look like a Rookie I just don't know how someone can take Kotetsu serious ....

Three? Mew, it's two. Boldore, Pignite, Oshawott, and Unfezant were all beaten, remember? He only has Snivy and Pikachu left.

Then there was a mistake in the pic that I saw (perhaps wrong placed or so) I always thought that Ash should have a Riolu or a Lucario I can't just see Kotetsu as tough as Gary, Paul or even Morisson I know that I already said it, but Ash would have perhaps easily won with Charizard, Sceptile and some others

Uh, I don't think I would say that Morrison was very tough. Really, he wasn't that tough at all.
Now Gary, Paul, Harrison, Ritchie, Tyson, and Tobias were the tough ones. Although, I probably wouldn't count Tobias because of his cheating with legendaries.

I just don't get it why Ash always have to catch a complete new team Of course, it's useful for the Anime aspect, because he has to travel the whole map again and encounter the new Pokémon of that generation But should we be honest It seems that Ash's years(?) of experience aren't really there Trip was a Newcomer and Ash had to lose multiple times until he defeated him once in a 1-on-1 fight Actually, I like Paul the best, because he had experience outside of Sinnoh as well, making it more believable that he could defeat Ash

That is true. That's why I liked Harrison as well. Harrison had already had experience in the Hoenn League, so he was a good trainer for Ash to lose to. Plus, that Blaziken of his was awesome.
Really, I don't have any respect for Ash's Unova rivals except maybe Stephan. He was pretty cool compared to the others. And I mean, I was okay with Kotetsu at first, but I think it was a bit much to let him pretty much win against Ash.
If it wasn't for the N saga coming up, I'd probably drop the anime all together.

I don't get it what the Pokémon producer wants to show us Should we believe that Ash won't become better with every league Should we believe that Ash won't reach his goal Should we realize that the last 100 episodes were for nothing It's just a disappoitment that Ash loses without showing his full potential I won't to exaggerate here, but I almost believe that Ash's Charizard could have defeated Kotetsu alone (I could be wrong, but Kotetsu vs. Ash was near as epic as Ash vs. gary or Ash vs. Paul)

If you're disappointed in Ash's progress, blame the storyboard director. He made Ash a cash cow since Hoenn. I was hoping Oshawott or Snivy would have evolved by the time the Unova League started, ah well.
With Kotetsu dominating, it'll be a miracle for Ash to even win. He always loses to ONE rival. In the Kanto, it's Richie. In Johto, Harrison. Hoenn, Tyson. In Sinnoh, Tobias. Kotetsu might be the one to defeat Ash.
I might be wrong. But, with how things are - I also might not be.

According to the headlines of the next few episodes, I would say that Ash will lose Next episode is Unova league conclusion and after that, the N-saga will start Can't imagine that Ash will win three battles within one episode, therefore it seems to be obvious that Ash loses to Kotetsu, although the latter only used five Pokémon

Yeah, N's appearance is set in January 17th, I believe. Have you noticed that Ash's Charizard is in the poster for the N saga? Could he have a role in it or is he just there to take up some space?

It's a shame that it would just appear in the episodes after the league Charizard would have wiped the floor with Kotetsu's Pokémon, but it just shouldn't be

To be honest, I have a theory on why the anime is so terrible now. You see, out of all of the seasons of the anime, they were most successful during the first season. That was when Pokemon was in style and everyone wanted to watch the show and be like Ash. It's also the time when he caught more Pokemon than he has ever had in one region: Pikachu, Butterfree, Pidgeot, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Squirtle, Kingler, Muk, Haunter, Primeape, and 30 Tauros. He was also a newbie trainer that made a lot of mistakes and had a bunch of flaws that were evened out by his successes. That made him a likeable character. Plus, you had new girl Misty and new guy Brock. Misty was the girl that made fun of Ash all of the time or beat him up and Brock was the smart guy that went for girls and could cook. Plus, Team Rocket had just started their trend of many blast-offs.
So, when they started the Black and White series, they wanted to replicate that past success by turning Ash back into a ten-year-old, changing his eyes to where he looked way younger, and removing almost all ties to the previous anime seasons (Namely Brock). Ash catches a bunch of Pokemon, he meets a bunch of new rivals, Team Rocket has a new serious trend, and Ash has two new travelmates instead of just one new one and one old one: Iris and Cilan. So, therefore, Black and White was really just a way to try to make all of that money and success again with all of these new kids that had just heard of Pokemon, but in the end, they failed, because older fans like us who remember the past seasons of the anime are still around. That's my theory, anyway.

Let just describe the Unova league as a dark chapter within Ash's life ^_^' I only hope that May didn't watch this xD (Although it doesn't seem that the Unova league is aired anyway; can be lucky that Tobias wasn't there! He would have one-hit all Pokémon with his Dakrai)
