The moment Simon becomes a man in the first Gurren Lagann movie. It was good normally but the movie really cranked it up a notch.

@beastmode
Gt has too many plot holes because it wasn't developed by akira toriyama

For the hero moment I would agree with Speedy. But I do want to give a different example, and the first ones that come to mind are like in the manga thread, it's not anime that comes to mind but manga. Well it was turned into an anime but it didn't hold anything compared to the original. That and it never got anywhere close to far enough to show the scene. But for greatest hero scene I put my vote in for when Allen gets his Innocence back in the Asian Branch and defeats the level 3 Akuma. Comeback would be same series but Allister Crowley's fight with Jasdevi. Definitely a memorable battle.
Edit: Late edit but I guess it would be best to mention both those scenes came from D.Grey Man.
But considering what I thought up in the Manga thread, I'm stealing Wubbzy's question for here.
What's the saddest moment or the moment that always makes you cry in anime?
For me without a doubt it would be Ushio's death in Clannad~After Story. Even after downloading the soundtrack, for several times after just hearing the background music accompanying the scene I could feel tears coming to my eyes. And I'm not one to cry too often. But I'm also not alone apparently, at one point there was a thread that confirmed many of the hardened members of 4chan's /b/ board also cried during that scene.

Idk yet. but i'll have to go with the fact when an anime i've been watching for a good amount of time ends. Doesnt it make you feel disatisfied and want more?
