Wubbzy, depending on your view of how you were hoping Death Note would go you'll either love the ending or be quite disappointed by it. Personally I was the latter, the rest of it was quite good but I didn't like the ending. That's about all I can say without ruining it.

@yoh Most of those are rather long so it might be a while before you finish them all. If I had to suggest two it would be Death Note and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
