I have yet to see a show/scene where old art is better than newer and better, but checking Hellsing will probably change that :3

ehehe, well, because of your graphics card's size I can only assume you've got a pretty 'decent' computer, and with that, I actually recommend you try out streaming with your PS3. I use PS3 Media Server, that fortunately works with my xbox :D.
Streaming 720p subbed anime works flawlessly, but 1080 files still lag for some reason..
So yeah, might be fun to try this out unless your mother has something against you messing with the network :P

Well to put it in perspective the Hellsing Ultimate series are 50 min OVAs in 1920x1080 quality, so it's not like they're overly large in that sense. My flash drive sadly isn't even the right format to hold such large files, lol.

If people noticed them they didn't say anything at least. Which is fine by me, if they realize where some of my scenes come from it may take away from the reading.

Those are some large files although as Blu-Ray FLAC files you really can't get a better quality nowadays, but 76GB for a series is a bit excessive. I still can barely tell the difference between 1080 pixels and 1920 pixels. Though I think I only have a couple from Coalgirls and I don't think that they're that big.

While I have been tagged as an anime lover by virtually all of my friends I at least haven't gotten pervert yet. Although most of my friends at least watch a few series so they don't make too many accusations, and only one other really is at my level. Actually even though I gave him some of his first series to watch he's surpassed me by this point, lol. He didn't take a break for a year or two like I did. Though I'm not sure why that was tagged as 18+, it was mostly just references and nothing all that mature. Then again her reacting like that to a toothbrush is a little closer to that.

I finished the original version of Hellsing and have started on the OVAs. At this point I'm liking the OVAs more. They have a bit more humor in them and apparently more blood, yes an odd combination. They also use the newer type of animation, but looking up the comparison I guess the original Hellsing was done in 2001 compared to 2006 of the OVAs.

Decent at one point. My processor and motherboard aren't the newest out there, but my graphics card I just replaced a couple months ago to bring it back up to speed to play D3. And I bought the larger tower originally to help fit the size of modern high-quality graphics cards.

Oh don't worry, I'm not living with my parents anymore. And even still, I was essentially the one in charge of wiring and controlling all electronics in the house. I left their network up but neither has even the slightest clue as to how to really work it. I just have everything set to auto for simplicity's sake. I could change every setting on everything in that house and as long as they could access the internet and do other basic operations they wouldn't know the difference.

Yeah... like I said, Dokuro-chan is a weird one.

@lucifer Yeah, it does look awesome!!xD I've seriously been wanting to watch it so hard for such a long time now. I just need to push myself.xD i think it was just the first episode that turned me off a bit.

And yeah, I think I just read it wrong.xD Though, i haven't heard of that anime 'till now. I'm not too sure if I might be crazy about it to be honest. It looks all right, but I don't know.xD
But yes, after a while of being on the internet for a long time, your standards are not as high.

Oh, and you must watch the movies of Evangelion!!
there aren't any OVA's though, just a lot of movies.xD
Evangelion: Death and Rebirth is just a recap on the anime series. Though, if you haven't watched Evangelion in a while, maybe it'd be best to watch it so you can remember some details.= u = Plus, they're very short and fast, but we see small little details that are important.

Then, after you're done with that movie, there is The End of Evangelion.
A lot of fans believe that movie was the true ending for Evangelion before budgets were cut. Either way, I still liked how the anime ended. It was a truly powerful performance and was beautiful.
Anyway this is, as the movie title says, the end of Evangelion.xD
It's honestly a great movie! And just like the anime was, it is very psychological.

Once you're done with those 2 movies and the series, there is 2 (and the third to come out in November) movies after.
These movies are called The Rebuild of Evangelion.
They're basically remakes but the story is a bit different in these movies and include some new character's as well as new graphics.
The order to watch them is;
Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone
Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance
Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo ((Not out yet. Release date; November 17, 2012))
Evangelion: Final ((Not out yet. No date has been revealed yet.))

The first film is an adaptation of episode 1 through 6. But with some changed here and there of course.xD And with improved graphics of course!
The second one is very different and it's when we see the new character.
And the third and forth one are still not out.xD

Moving on. Yes, Gantz is a very interesting and amazing anime!!
Though, while producing the anime, they got ahead of the manga and had to make random episodes to finish it off.
Though, it was still very good! They weren't really random i should say. It still made sense and went along with the story line.~
And packed with action!xD LOL.
But if you watch it and really like it, you should check out the live action movies or the manga! c: (I still haven't had the chance to view them myself though.xD)
I'm usually not the type to like live action movies of anime's. But it looks REALLY good. Apparently it was so good, it not only got a dub, but it got to play in America theater's. o . o Which, in my opinion, doesn't happen very often.xD
Like I said, I haven't been able to read the manga yet, but it looks very promising! I keep seeing screenshots and that, and VGFHDVDCEBH.
And you'll also notice that over the years, the mangaka's drawing style develops too. Which I find interesting to be honest. I like to see artist improve.

Hmmmm. Well, I haven't watched many weird anime's.xD Like Lucifer has mentioned, Dokuro-chan was pretty weird.
There's another one I know too. It's one of those 10 min. anime's though.
It's called Cromartie High School. OH GOD, IT'S HILARIOUS!!xD I'm usually not the type to watch comedy anime's to be honest. (I prefer Family Guy and American Dad humor.)

Also, THIS IS THE BEST DUB I'VE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE.
I usually just go for the original Japanese raw dub. But this is really amazingly good! I still need to finish this, but it's really funny!xD

It's only I think, 5 to 10 min. long?
Anyway, it's about some kid in elementary school who has a body of a man/older teenager.
And his older sister who is in highschool has the body of a kid.
It's just, weird.
He gets often mistaken for a pedophile and stuff like that...
Though, I must admit, it did have it's funny parts here and there. But eh. Just not my kind of anime I guess.xD

Yeah Hellsing seems like it'd be an anime at least close to what you like. Although I have to say at the moment I'm liking Hellsing Ultimate, the series of OVAs that seem to be telling a more complete version of the story, better.

I don't blame you for not knowing about High School Dxd. I just ran across it a week ago or so while looking for something else. In fact a lot of the stuff I've seen I'd be willing to bet that people haven't heard of.

Well I knew that there were a few movies to Eva but I didn't realize there were that many. Better double check sometime tomorrow to see if I have them all. Though considering the series' popularity it's not surprising.

It's not uncommon for the anime to catch up to a manga that's still in production. In the end though for me the filler just has to be a believable addition to the storyline. But then again thanks to Naruto and some of the Bleach seasons I've gotten kinda sick of filler episodes. Hopefully it Gantz's won't compare to those. But if I like reading the manga or watching the anime series enough I try and find the alternate version and going through that, especially if the anime was based off a manga.

Hmm, never heard of the last one you mentioned. I'll have to look into it.

I just looked up a bit more information on Recorder to Randoseru and while I think it might have a few good laughs I don't expect much from it. But as a 3 min short type of series it won't take long to push through it.

A combo of romance like that and a good adventure isn't the easiest to find while staying in decent quality but I have a few. These are only ones that I have seen so I can at least say that they are rather good. And I can't guarantee that they'll be in English dubs if that's what you prefer. You're already seen Shana so I won't need to mention much about that. And finally be warned, my descriptions will be quite bad, lol.

The first one I can think of is Cardcaptor Sakura, the original and not Americanized "Cardcaptors". One of my earlier ones but does contain pretty much all that you mentioned.

Full Metal Panic and it's sequels are another good choice. Romance is a bit more one sided but it's definitely there. Focuses more on comedy and action.

Eureka Seven: Not as much in terms of romance competition but matches the rest pretty well. Romance is again a bit softer and less comedy. Not the greatest but great coloring and interesting story.

Escaflowne: Been a long time since I watched this one but I do remember it's more adventure and romance with a mecha base.

Fairy Tail: Less romance again but action and comedy with a setting in a world using magic and a guild to take requests for different missions.

Soul Eater: Not really any romance but definitely comedy and adventure. Put in a world with a school devoted to weapons and their wielders whose job is to hunt down and exterminate witches.

Mahou Sensei Negima: While this fits the bill tbh the anime wasn't all that great. The reason I'm mentioning it though is that the manga was great. So if you don't mind reading instead of watching this is a good choice.

Zero no Tsukaima: A fun series that has almost everything that you want. A little less on the adventure but it's still there along with the comedy and romance. Story primarily focuses on a normal teenage boy brought to another world when a magician girl tries her hand at summoning a familiar.

D.Gray Man: Virtually no romance but it has the rest of what you're looking for and personally I really liked the series overall so I figured I could put it on here.

Ranma 1/2: Romance is there but it's used for more comedic purposes. Not as much actual adventure but action and comedy for sure. Focuses on the main character Ranma after falling into a cursed lake that causes him to turn into a girl when doused with cold water and back to a boy with warm water and several of the fiancees that his father put him into without his knowledge.

Rurouni Kenshin: Has all but the conflicting romance, and while there is a decent amount of romance it's not the main focus. Set in the days following the Meji Revolution it follows a wandering manslayer as he tries to use his legendary sword style as the country tries to adapt to a more peaceful way of living.

Mai-HiME: More action than adventure and no real romance competition, but has the rest. Hard to explain so you can look this one up if you want to.

Tsubasa Chronicle: Been meaning to watch this for a long time but haven't. Based on the Clamp characters from Cardcaptor Sakura has adventure and romance but only a single pairing and I don't think there's much comedy.

InuYasha: Not sure how I could almost forget this one, probably cause I keep thinking most people have seen it. Pure comedy, adventure, and a good filling of romance. Set with a girl finding out she is implanted with a sacred jewel that allows her to travel back in time to feudal Japan where demons are abundant. Teaming up with a half-dog demon named InuYasha the two of them set out to find the shards of the sacred jewel after it breaks.

Hope that's good enough for now. Sorry that it's not that big, but like I said, a true adventure and romance combo is a bit rare. Partly due to adventure being more of a shounen concept and romance being closer to shoujo. If you have a preference towards one side more than the other and are willing to go without one, just say so and I can expand on the list.
