With Clannad the initial series is a bit of a harem genre, and while good with both various humor and other situations isn't up to the sequel in my opinion. In there it goes away from the harem and into more real-life issues and I think it's because people can relate or imagine themselves in that position that almost everyone I've known to watch it can't hold back tears at least once. But that's of course not the main theme and there's still comedy and plenty of scenes you can't help but simply smile at.

And after rereading my last post, I think I should mention that the "unknown reason" I liked High School Dxd was not what some people might think after watching it. The demon and chess aspects along with the more-or-less failure of the main character to form a harem of his own kinda melded together into what was for me an enjoyable piece.

Yeah Hellsing is on the old side, but Alucard is the type of anti-hero that you would expect from a vampire. And the other vampires in the series are a bit more animalistic than him but so far a fun series to watch.

But after mentioning Full Metal Panic I had to go back and watch a few scenes. I want to show my favorite scene in the series but that'll ruin some of it. So I present you with one of the next best things. Bonta-kun!

Gantz is an awesome anime!!xD

Plot Summary: Kei Kurono is a typical high school student in a selfish world, not caring about anyone other than himself. After being run over by the train, they were suddenly teleported to an enclosed apartment with others who recently died. And now their lives are controlled by a mysterious black ball inside the apartment called GANTZ, and they are forced to participate in a "game" of unprecedented danger and horror."
It's honestly AWESOME!!xD
Though, the manga looks better since it continued obviously. And the aliens in the manga looks so freaky!xD VGFCHDVCBHJVH.
There is a bit of sex scenes in there, but it's still really good. The sex scenes they added, in my opinion, didn't ruin the anime at all.
It added more depth to it.xD

Full Metal Panic I've never watched. It's been on my watch list for a PRETTY long time now, but I never got the chance to watch it.xD
Clanned I never finished watching. I saw a bit of the beginning and skipped to the end.xD I don't know. I wasn't SUPER crazy about it. Though, it made me shed so many tears.;____;
Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai I've never heard of.
High School of the Dead was awesome!!!!!xD I loved it!! I must read the manga! I want to know what happens after.x3 But i hated Rei. Urgh. Like you have no idea.
But I love Takashi, Saeko and Kohta.xD Especially Kohta! MY LIL' BBY!!! <333

And Hellsing. I've only seen 1 episode to be honest...
I REALLY want to watch it! It looks so good! but I don't know, ever since i was a kid, I was never really interested in vampires.
The whole 'biting' thing and the 'immortal love' thing never really interested me. It looked very cliche. LOL. I just don't know why.xD Though, I like demons!! <3

@aura Well, it depends on what your limits are.
It involves some sexual themes as well.
The anime was very violent, and had a lot of blood and some guts.xD
But then again, it might be too much for you. I don't know what your standards are.
As you know, I'm the creep on the forums.xD
And i'm used to gore, guts, hentai/nudity and violence in general. So my standards are very low.xD

Well yeah, you never mentioned anything like that in your post so I could only assume you enjoyed the show for 'the right reasons', xD

And that brings up another question from me: what do you prefer, older or newer animes? I'd said that it doesn't matter, but still, I wonder.. ;p

.. well, that's it, I can't wait anymore. I already got the 1080p files on my external harddrive, so I'll just plug it into my brother's computer and watch it on his small 15,6 screen..

I thought I read wrong and I actually did; we were talking about Highschool DxD, not High School Of The Dead ;p, extremely huge difference. I checked out the first few episodes of HOTD though and it looked very interesting, ^^
