Hey, guys! This is a new thread that I thought that I'd start where we discuss the aspects of the Nuzlocke Challenge. For those of you who do not know what the Nuzlocke Challenge is, it's basically when you start a new game on one of your Pokemon games, but instead of playing it the normal, catch-them-all way, you play the game of life and death. There are two main rules to a Nuzlocke Challenge: 1. You may only capture the first Pokemon you encounter in each new area you explore. If you accidently cause it to faint, you cannot catch any other Pokemon in that area. 2. If one of your Pokemon faints, you must release it. Basically, because the Pokemon is knocked out, it is "dead". A lot of people do these and make comics out of them or write stories about them. But, if you want to see the original Nuzlocke Challenge made by the creator himself, then check this comic out: www.nuzlocke.com/index.php

ah yes the Nuzlocke challenge. i am actully doing this right now in pokemon flora sky. its my first play through of the game so i don't know much about the region. i have lost my gallade and lairon to this but i still have gabite, empoleon, staraptor, growlithe, luxray, eevee which was a lucky catch as it was the safari zone, breloom and manectric.
i would really suggest to anyone who plays pokemon or started to get a bit bored of them being the same thing over and over again to try this challenge. its really fun

So if you black/white out then it's game over?
I did this for Ruby once and it was really fun. I had Swampert, Swellow, Exploud, Beautifly, Bellossom and something else that I forgot.

Well, if you have Pokemon in the PC, you have to use those. And if you lose ALL of your Pokemon, PC and team, then yeah, it's game over and you have to start completely over.

Yeah, it's either you release them or put them in a PC box marked "Dead" or "Graveyard".

Now this challenge would go against my normal play style. I usually wind up having one of my two or three mains faint every once and a while, usually near the beginning or end. Though I would probably actually buy potions for places other than the Elite Four if I did this. Not to mention my HM slaves are usually used as cannon fodder when swapping Pokemon mid-battle, so they end up fainting quite often depending on the fight.
Needless to say part of my play style would have to change if Pokemon were actually real, lol.

I'm doing one right now. I'm planning on doing a group of them and then I plan to do a comic connecting all of my various runs together.
My first game is Fire Red and it's a funny case seeing as I got it over eBay. It turns out that the person who sold it to me was in the middle of his own Nuzlocke challenge. I just kinda picked it up from there.

Okay, guys, let's discuss Nuzlockes! So far, three of my Pokemon have died: my Rattata Buck, my Butterfree Buggy, and my Mankey Ape. And at the moment, I have my Charmeleon Draco, my Pidgey Skyla, my Magikarp Loch, and my Geodude Rocky. We're traveling through Mt. Moon. What's going on with you guys?

Thank you, Bulbapedia.
See, these rules aren't difficult to understand. If you have problems with these rules, then you can do whatever that fits your needs. However, the mandatory rules still apply.

If I have a Revive or Rare Candy, I apply the mercy rule. But what's a Wedlock or Egglocke?

I'm at college now, so I'll supply the videos to the rules later.

In my Pokemon Platinum Nuzlocke, I have caught lots of Pokemon. My main ones are Glenda (Golduck), Bud (Roselia. WITH A HOLY EFFING HIGH SP. ATTK!), Lana (Vespiquen), Remy (Gabite), Lucy (Luxray), Zak (Gengar),Dante(Infernape), Xander (Cranidos), Psy (Alakazam), Marvel (Meditite), and Ace (Staraptor) They're all in the Lv. 30-36. And I have one death and training for the fourth gym near Solaceon Town. My one death was a male Togepi named Mini. YOU WERE GOING TO BECOME A TOGEKISS!!! ;___; Also, egglockes are wher you get random eggs from generous donators and hopefully hope that the eggs are awesome as you hatch them. One per area. You can either catch a Pokemon an area OR not catch one and use an egg. Wedlocke, I never heard of them PichuAuraGuardian19

At the moment, I've gotten three badges and have my main team currently composed of Draco (Charmeleon), Loch (Gyarados), Skyla (Pidgeotto), Flower (Gloom), and Rocky (Graveler). I also have an Ekans, a Meowth, and a Farfetch'd, but I boxed them.
