Is it weird that I’m excited about this? Doesn’t look as good as I would like, but it’s better than I thought it would be. Also, it’s awesome that there isn’t just Gen 1 Mons in this movie!

That trailer reminded me of this:
Anyway, I have very mixed feelings about this movie. On one hand, I'm happy they're actually making a live-action Pokemon movie set in the Pokemon world as opposed to the real world (which was what I was kinda expecting). On the other hand, we all know Hollywood's track record with these kinds of movies (case in point, "The Last Airbender", that "Digimon" movie).
Fortunately, Ryan Reynolds is playing Pikachu, which means he will have an opportunity to joke about this in "Deadpool 3". |

I saw the trailer and I am actually legitimately looking forward to this film now. I hope it doesn't end up sucking though...
I do like that they're not just using Gen I mons, though. They're picking them from Gen I to all the way to Gen VI (because that was the latest gen when this film entered production) for this film so that's pretty neat.
Fun fact: They apparently had the guy who was doing all of those "Realistic Pokémon designs" on deviant art back in the day to help work on the concept art for the movie. That's pretty neat
