I'm battling Lana! Judging by the levels of her team I get the feeling that this fight was meant to occur quite a while ago... Yeah, that kind of bummed me out. Wish I had known earlier so I could have a more fair battle.. There's a few stuff I missed I wish I had not.

i find it funny the argument for 5th gen is always just vannilux and trubish, even tho gen 1 and every gen had dumb object Pokémon, heck in the first generation they already made a reverse pokebal Pokémon, a magnet Pokémon dead eggs Pokémon and a legit copy paste seal called seel . Speedy_Fox_IV didn't know you shared my favorite gen. most other people hate gen 5 or think it was decent but not the best.

I liked the pokemon in gen 5. Also, it's good to know that you can fight the captains right after the trial... *runs back to prettyboy Llima*

Well... that absolutely sucks. Does the game ever hint that you can face them immediately after? :/
Time to go hunting for some Trial Captains XD

Klink and their evolution chain, Heatmor, and many of the legendaries... along with quite a few other Pokemon that I didn't like the design for but appreciated the idea behind them. I actually liked Magnemite (one of the better electric types from the early days), and Seel was simple but still had a nice design IMO. And yes, there were terrible Pokemon in gen 1 and the other gens, I don't think anyone here would argue against that. Gen 1 gets slack for being the first, but gen 5 has little as defense. Is Gen 5 actually that hated?

Not really, it's just something extra you get to discover on your own, sort of like fighting gym leaders in the Gen 2 battle dojo.

Is Gen 5 actually that hated? Apparently, not just in the anime.

But I get what you mean. Interesting...

I'm pretty sure it was in Gen 2 First, but I might be remembering wrong.

You lack the knowledge that I never played Emerald ;) Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever played the third version of any Pokemon game... unless Yellow counts?

I'd probably like the gen more if I managed to get through Black and White 2.
