So according to one of Bulbapedia's Facebook pages, a UK press release confirmed that these games are indeed part of an all-new generation, not a continuation of Gen 6, and will include an entirely new region and new Pokémon. This is a huge shock to me. Essentially it's saying that Gen 7 is starting with these new games! |

Honestly tho, they could just pull a gen 2 and have you revisit Kalos again as a post game and wrap up the story in a nice pretty pink bow.
