So I'm mostly an RU tier battler. I find that tier to be my comfort zone. Here's the team I was using for a while. I haven't played for a while though.
So the highest I've gotten with this team is Rank 23 on Pokemon Online's server on PO. I'm rather proud of that. Didn't stay there long enough to be notable but yeah.
The Stealth Rock Lead
Regirock @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Thunder Wave
- Earthquake
Sets up Stealth Rock and paralyzes stuff. Usually survives two or three hits from unboosted stuff. It's defense is already high so the EVs go into Sp.D to even it up a bit. I really like how well this guy was doing.
The Sub + CM sweeper
Mesprit @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Psyshock
- Ice Beam
Standard Sub + CM Mesprit Naturally bulky enough to take a couple of hits. I chose Psyshock instead of Psychic because other Calm Mind users start setting up on it. After boosting, they think it will do little damage and then comes the Psyshock killing them quickly.
The Bulky sweeper
Torterra (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Atk / 200 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Wood Hammer
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Synthesis
He is supposed to just attack with eithe Wood Hammer or EQ and be a back up Stealth Rock user. Synthesis to heal of recoil. However he hasn't been working out so well. He gets walled by a lot of stuff especially the flyers which are common in this tier. Overall, I'd say this is my least useful team member and the one most liable to get replaced
The Physical Sweeper
Swellow (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Protect
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
- Facade
He basically goes in and does as much damage as he can and then dies due to recoil/poison. Usually doesn't last more than 3 turns and takes out atleast one and hurst another. I could go for a speed boosting nature but his attacks don't hurt as much then.

Armaldo (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Knock Off
The Spinner of the team. Knock is surpringly useful
The Cleaner
Typhlosion (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Eruption
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Fire Blast
He cleans up stuff. Choice Scarf makes him fast enough that a speed boosting natures is usually excessive. Fire Blast and Eruption seems redundant but he needs a move not dependant on his HP.
