Yeah, let's do it! Here's my view on how the students should be organized: -Ash can be the unpopular student at first, but starts to establish his place in the school. -May can be an unpopular student as well. -Serena can be Ash's childhood friend, but then ditches him in favor of the popular clique. -Dawn can be the most popular girl in school and the leader of the popular clique. -Drew can be the rich, snobby guy. -Gary can be Dawn's boyfriend who is essentially her backup muscle when people try to stand up to her. -Trip can be the all-out jerk of the popular clique. -Paul can be the least popular student in the entire school, and a rather emo, quiet person. -Cilan can be the misfit of his more popular triplets Cress and Chili, and also Ash's friend. -Iris can be the weird girl who no one likes to interact with (which is beneficial of sorts since the bullies wouldn't wanna touch her either). -Bianca can be just like Iris, but only wilder and much weirder. That's all I've got right now. What about their performances academically? After all that's just as important as their social status. Ash & May unpopular? That's cliched! I agree with Paul though. He's unpopular because he doesn't like to interact with people Cilan, Cress & Chilli are a little complicated, since they are also gym leaders. Some edits - Ash belongs to no group but he can be said to be popular, he hangs out with pretty much anyone, even Paul. He's a very easygoing guy. The only person Paul can tolerate to an extent.
- Gary used to bully Ash as a kid but now they made up and become best friends
- May is the sweet girl. She doesn't like groups but talks to Dawn. She's almost always seen with Ash.
Here's the list for Pokemon Adventures School - Red is pretty much like Ash. He's easygoing and will interact with anyone.
- Blue hangs out with people but spend most of the time listening. He doesn't talk much. The only person he talk to is Red since they're best friends.
- Green takes over Dawn's role. Popular and noisy.
- Yellow is very shy. She doesn't talk much but she's a very likeable person.
- Gold. Class clown.
- Crystal. Very strict person and very hardworking. Spends every day after school tutoring other students or helping teachers with their work. The word "break" is not in her dictionary. Also assigned with keeping Gold in line.
- Silver is sort of like Paul. The difference is that he have one best friend, Gold.
- Ruby doesn't hang out much with guys. He'd rather talk about fashion with the girls.
- Sapphire is the opposite of Ruby. Most of her friends are boys.
- Emerald is sort of Gold's sidekick. They're both mischievous.
- Diamond glutton and very laid-back. His laid-back nature is why he's comfortable with Red, since they have similar characters.
- Pearl is the childhood friend of Diamond and he's very rash like Barry.
- Platinum is one of the brightest students in the school, if not the brightest. Her intelligence rivals the teachers, to say the very least. She's often asked to assist teachers and tutor other students, which is why her best friend is Crystal. Also ridiculously wealthy.
Sorry about the other dexholders. I have trouble in finding the English translation of the other chapters so I don't know their character.

That's an easy one--just take out most of the drama. *Metaphorical audience gasps* Yeah, I said it. Nice and simple solution... but there's one flaw. How to make the story interesting without the drama. One of the solutions is to make the story focused, keep the main character to one or two at maximum. Probably Ash & May. Make the story revolve around them. However that is not enough. The plot is also important. Trust me, I have a bit of experience with writing stories. I feel fairly confident I could do it. That is, if I decided to. Also, the placement of Blue is a tricky one, as he becomes a gym leader himself later on.

In regards to the Gym Leaders though, where would Giovanni fit in? Obviously, he would be a faculty member, but what type? And, wouldn't that also make Silver the son of a teacher, similar to Norman being father of Ruby/May?
Wow, this got even more confusing when I wrote it out.

I imagine Giovanni being the scheming, unfair, Snape-like teacher, but subject-wise...Psychology, perhaps? He's fooled people with his facade as a Gym Leader, so why not? An ironic twist!

It shouldn't be that much of a problem if a teacher is the parent of a student. There are few in my school. It might get awkward if they are in the same class, though. Yeah, main characters who also double as gym leaders are really confusing. Like Brock, Misty & Cilan (anime). When you said that Blue is also gym leader, it reminds me that Red is also champion. Where would he be? Maybe they could be in the student council, so they could get more power than the average student. Red could be the leader of the student council, his easygoing character could be useful in uniting the various personalities of the student council members. As member of the student council, he could also influence (to an extent) the school regulations. Don't know what suits Giovanni, though, sorry.

Thought of a few more.
Wulfric is the winter sports director, with Candice as his assistant (She could also double as a teacher, since she teaches a class in the anime.)
Elesa and Valerie could be the sewing/clothing design teachers.
Norman seems to fit as an English teacher in my head. No idea why.
Burgh is, of course, the art director, working closely together with Wallace.
Olympia is the astronomy teacher, with Tate and Liza as her assistants.
Morty is a school councilor, because he knows the choices you will make before you do.
Drayden would do well as the mythology teacher, with Iris as his student teacher. Clair might also fit here too, but it doesn't totally seem to fit her....style.
Volkner is a tough one to place, but he would likely do something music or technology-related.
Juan cold teach Spanish. This idea's only source is that he has a Hispanic-sounding name.
Blaine kinda seems like a jack-of-all-trades. Maybe he could be an English teacher too?
...Which reminds me, Shauntal totally fits for creative writing teacher.
Who else have we missed?

If its a Pokemon Adventures school then Juan's more appropriate as a French teacher. I don't know why he does so despite his Latin name.

Didn't Elite Four members and Champions count in your list?

Didn't Elite Four members and Champions count in your list? Well yes, but we've done some. I'm personally trying to cover Gym Leaders before moving on to the others.

Just asking, who would suit as a physics teacher?

Just asking, who would suit as a physics teacher? Even though I suggested him for Language Arts because of his book, I was thinking Lucian for some reason...

I have no idea why, but I wrote a fragment of a PokéSpe HS fic, tell me if you like it.
The bell rang as Yellow sprinted for the classroom. It's just the first day of school and she's already late.
'If only Crystal had come sooner, Gold wouldn't have hel me up so long!'
She was approaching an intersection with the classroom straight ahead, however, she ran into someone who appeared from around the corner. She got up and ran over to him.
"I'm sorry, I was running late and-"
She paused when she had a good look at him. He was wearing a red cap over his black hair, which stood out from their uniform. His eyes were red, and were full of spirit...
