I'm officially sad. I dunno. As much as I love both Brock VAs from the regular Pokemon anime, I actually liked Johnny Yong Bosch's rendition of him. He does it really well. I have yet to see it. I'll check it out ASAP.

I was watching episode 2 and I was trying to figure out why Reina sounded so familiar and then it hit me. Reina's english voice actor is the same one who did Madoka's english voice!

And I just saw the last episode. The bit with Chansey had me laughing uncontrolably.

I just finished watching all episodes.
It's pretty good aside from a few things.
Charizard. Good god are they overuse it. None of Red's other Pokemon get more than a few seconds of screentime. Really disappointing.
It suffers from being only 4 episodes in length.
Episode 1 was a good start. Episodes 2 and 3 are pretty damn good and show some great potential. Episode 4 was all kinds of terribad.

Very entertaining. The art wasn't so bad (in fact, it's quite good). Quite disappointed by the length thought. Most of the gym battles are skipped, and the fights that are shown was kind of shallow.
Conclusion: A masterpiece if converted into a 24-episodes anime.

Agreed with what PRONTO3000 said. Too much Charizard and too short.

Well, to go against the arguments of everyone else who says Charizard was overused, when you were playing the games, what Pokémon would you use more than the others? For me, it was usually my starter. It's the Pokémon that had been with me from the start, growing stronger and stronger. Besides, there were only a few battles, so of course Charizard is going to be used a lot, especially since one of the special's jobs was to reveal Mega Charizard X.
As for the length, would you rather it be short with no filler, or would you like it to be 24 episodes with pointless filler? Also, we've seen Ash go through Kanto, so I don't feel the need for this to be longer.

Eh, but they're making TONS of money from the regular series so I doubt that they'll stop airing it anytime soon. (=3=)

I mean, you'll prefer to use a sharp knife over dull, rusty one right? But the show just plain used Red's other Pokemon like cow fodder. (-_-) Red throw Pokeball -> Pokemon came out -> Get pwned -> Spam Pokeball until Charizard came out -> INSTANT WIN Hey, if you think about it more deeply, 24 episodes would be an ideal number because the events they skipped are, let's face it, massive. Sure, there'd be filler here and there but there shouldn't be THAT much. Also, the regular show is pretty much a clump of filler don't you agree? (=.=)

(=.=) Well, if it was twenty-four episodes, it wouldn't have accomplished its job. Making you want more Pokémon. Sometimes, shorter is better. Plus, when you play the games, more often than not, it doesn't take long to beat them. Usually, it takes me around a week for me to finish one. As for the other Pokémon, same thing. Since it was four episodes, and not twenty-four, the battles can't be too long. At the very least, they showed a lot of the ones he caught, to display that Red is working to complete the Pokédex.

While most of his Pokemon are cow fodder, they did varies from battle to battle.

I'm fine with four episodes.
