So I finished playing EarthBound Beginnings yesterday. I still like the game. Hell, I think I like it more now that I'm better RPGs. I only really needed to grind twice in the game both of them really early into it (after starting and after getting Pippi). Ninten's support moves are really helpful.

It surprised me when I first played it that Ninten was always meant to be a support character. It felt weird, but at the same time, I liked it. It was different from many RPGs at that time where the main character was ALWAYS the offensive type.

Offence Up and Defence Up pretty much double your offence and defence. Sadly the same cannot be said for Quick Up. Stacking Defence up and PSI Shield is also extremely helpful as it means you're taking minor damage even if you happen to be Ana.

The NX is set to arrive on March 2017! Won't be sold at a loss. Will "not just be" a standard evolution of the 3DS and Wii U as a successor. Allow Miitomo to be used for the NX. Still a codename. Zelda U also coming out for the thing, making the Wii U the first ever Nintendo console without its own Zelda title as an exclusive for it. Tecmo Koei signed on as supporting the console as well.

Well I guess I was too late too late to get a wii u. Probably better if I start saving for the nx. My question is, will it be both home console and portable?

Wii U is a great Nintendo-only system, so you can still get them and play the games like Star Fox Zero, Bayonetta 1 and 2, Wonderful 101, MH3U, and other exclusives for it. However, the piss-poor online, the awful specs, and the overall Nintendo arrogance just reeks in it. Nintendo fucked up so badly on the Wii U, when they shouldn't have. And the NX info will be coming later this year, so we don't know yet. Leaks have stated it could be a hybrid, but none so far are taken as truth.

Lol, Nintendo arrogance. Do you mean the "we are innovative" bs they try to sell?
What happened anyways. From what I remember, the game cube was as practical a system got as well as had good specs for the time. Oh well I guess I'll still consider the wiiu at some point. Also, wasn't star fox zero crapped on?

Also, wasn't star fox zero crapped on? Pretty much, plus the fact they oversold the Wii name, thus causing confusion with the name of the new console. The GCN was the second most powerful console that generation, behind only a little bit by the Xbox, but because of the disc and how Nintendo handled 3rd party support - the console tanked. Wii was a shift in their business and it worked, but it was the first time they've made an underpowered console in comparison to their rivals. Wii U continued that trend and it tanked like a mother fucker. Star Fox Zero is getting crap, yes. Primarily because of the fucking wonky controls, but once you get used to them... they oddly work really well. It's one of those kind of games. However, the fact it retreads into SF64 areas and doesn't add much to the table, besides the stealth section which sucks, many just seem to think it's an "eh" sort of game. I think it's good, but not great. Though props to Platinum Games for making it, like they always wanted.

The disc only held 1.5GB of storage, whereas the PS2 and Xbox used actual DVDs, which were 4GB. Plus, you can even get the dual-layered ones that held 8GB. So yeah... it sucked.

So because Nintendo screwed up themselves they blamed the tank on graphics being unimportant and went all gimmicky? I guess I'm simplifying it too much. Oh well, at least the handhelds sell well.
