Well, it looks like it's an evolution of Fletchling, the Karos Region's main bird Pokemon, so if Fletchling becomes a Fire-type and Ash always catches the bird, that means that he hopefully won't catch Fennekin! Yes! Yup, it's confirmed to evolve from Fletchling, so I'm even happier about it. And personally, if they decide to continue Ash's storyline, I kinda want him to get Froakie. |

Yeah, Froakie definitely. And possibly Chespin, considering the fact that he always catches the Grass-type starter. Just no Fennekin. That fox annoys me.

Offical art for new pokemon    I cant wait to catch a Fetchling!  The (im guessing x3) the "final" evolution of Fetchiling is soo awesome and cute/cool looking! Omg and its also fire<33!! Hell yeahh! \(^-^)/ The hermit crab Lobster (as PichuAuraGuardian19 said/mentions) looks cute ;3 lol but the seahorse mixed seaweed looks a bit depressing looking  xD anyways i cant wait to see the other pokemon  they are all looking epic! \(^-^)/ |

The seahorse looks like a depressed Horsea. And wait, that's not a hermit crab. Dwebble was a hermit crab. That's a lobster Pokemon!

Kinda a disappointing thought but considering that outside of a couple new revealed Pokemon, Nintendo pretty much only proved several of the rumors that were already out and about around the net and didn't show any truly new stuff. Well, some of the features of game compatibility can count towards that but oh well.
So this will come to one of two things, first is that the guy that leaked the info in the first place got his hands on the material Nintendo was intending for E3 or Nintendo based their E3 presentation on said rumors. I'm guessing the latter considering there are still some unproven rumors in there but in the end they really didn't show anything that was overly surprising. Confirmation of the Fairy-Type was really the closest thing, and even that was half-ways accepted already.

So, we got Corocoro scans!  This is Shishiko, a Fire/Normal-type.  This is the full line of Villion.  This is Furabebe, a Fairy-type.  These are some friends of yours in the starting town, and the male/female character opposite of yours also appears with the name Callum or Serena respectively.  These are Pansy and Viola. Viola is a Bug-type Gym Leader. Pansy will appear in the anime with a Gogoat and a Helioptile on July 18th, so that pretty much confirms that Ash is going to Kalos. She wouldn't need to appear at all if Ash wasn't going there. |

So that pretty much confirms that Ash is going to Kalos. She wouldn't need to appear at all if Ash wasn't going there. Well, you know, it could always be a new trainer going to Kalos. Maybe Ash and May will finally settle down together and give the hero business over to someone else. |

Anyone remember the first bit of "insider information" that PokeBeach revealed a while ago? It stated that the first Kalos gym would be bug-type.
The first Gym Leader has been officially revealed. Take a guess at what her type specialty is.

By itself it's not enough to really say much, although by now we have a good idea that those rumors were actually leaks. By itself announcing a gym leader isn't that much, and unless it says it in a part cut off from the scan I don't see anywhere in there that she really is the first gym leader you face in the game. But then again the quality of the scan leaves much to be desired. As for Shishiko, looks like we'll have another lion-type Pokemon join the ranks. No real surprise but the name itself translates literally into baby lion. Personally though I find no real surprise that the anime will be following the games. Whether it's Ash or a new character going, as long as the games are coming out the anime will go there too. The real question is if they'll try to actually persevere on if the games decide to this being the last Generation. Though even that is doubtful, as long as they can make money they'll undoubtedly continue this open-ended series. |
