Fairy will be a new type. It is weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.

Sylveon is Fairy-type. Some older Pokemon will be reclassified to Fairy, such as Mawile (Steel/Fairy).

These line up with the currently released info, so the rest may be true as well.

If that true, then some Normal Types could be good with Fairy Types. I can see that happen.

This makes sense. Think about fairy tales: Knights with (Steel) swords defeat mythical creatures, and (Poison) is used against fairies often. It fits.

Well, it looks like it's an evolution of Fletchling, the Karos Region's main bird Pokemon, so if Fletchling becomes a Fire-type and Ash always catches the bird, that means that he hopefully won't catch Fennekin! Yes!
