I like crobat, but aside from speed and I believe special defense, he isn't that good to me. Then again, he was one of the pokemon I used Exp share on (I was still a rookie )... yeah he gets destroyed.

No, I don't want Froakie to be part Dark. Let me enlighten you a bit.
Okay, so one potential I want to happen is for Chespin to evolve to be Grass/Dark, Fennekin to evolve to be Fire/Psychic, and Froakie to evolve to be Water/Fighting. That way, a double type triangle is created. Chespin's Grass still beats Froakie, but Froakie's Fighting beats Chespin. Same for the other starters, which would mean that any starter can beat any other starter, making the games sooo much more challenging. Especially if there are two rivals this time.

Found this article on Tumblr pokebeach.com/2013/05/supposed-pokemon-x-and-y-insider-informationOnly take it with a grain of salt though. Like I said a while ago, Fairy would be nice just to make Poison type a bit more useful. I find it interesting how it would supposedly be strong to Dragon though. The professor isn't named after a tree like all the others, which makes me skeptical of the source. And duel type attacks seem a bit unrealistic, but I guess it could be Game Freak's way of changing up the meta game this gen. Idk, I find it interesting and it brings some interesting ideas to the table, but I don't buy it yet. I had a thought on this: The original Japanese name for Dark-type Pokemon literally translated as "Evil-type". So, what combats an "evil" Pokemon Better than a Fairy or other "Mythical" creature? If those are polar opposites, what opposes Dark? Now, this is all merely speculation, but could this possibly infer that if it's true, the english equivalent could be a new Light type? I realize that we have no idea as of yet if the source is viable at all, but couldn't this merit at least some consideration?

Pichu, the whole point of the starters is that each one beats another, which beats another, which beats the first one. What would be the point of canceling their type advantages? If anything, having a double type advantage would be the more likely route.

But that's what would make it so much more challenging! A game where each starter could beat each starter would make it so that one starter isn't better than another, and you have to rely on skills alone to have your starter beat the others.

Wouldn't it be even more challenging if your starter had a double disadvantage to, say, your rival's starter? It would be like trying to fight Siglyph using an Emboar (Do not recommend). The point of the rival's Pokemon is that theirs is better than yours, and you have to compensate for it. Therefore, a challenge like this would involve twice the ammount of strategy.

But wouldn't it be interesting if you had two rivals that could both potentially take out your first Pokemon?

But wouldn't it be interesting if you had two rivals that could both potentially take out your first Pokemon? But that also counters with the fact that you'd also be able to have an advantage. Rather than having a rival your weak to and one your strong to, you're simply even.

Kill it with water then? (the final form really sucks)
