The Rathalos in GG has a higher texture count and resolution. I can concede that the 3U Rathalos has some more detail in reference to more of a mane in the back, but that's it. They just upped the resolution and texture count, whereas 3U included more detail.

I didn't formulate the sentence properly. I will use images to proof my point.

As you can see the frontier one looks...like a grandpa rathalos while the 3U rathalos looks more younger, like you said, more detail.
