So any Warcraft fans here?
I have grown up with the Warcraft RTS series and Warcraft 2 was one of my very first games. So the series is very dear to me.
While I love the gameplay aspect of World of Warcraft, I really hate some their story line decisions. The Burning Crusade Expansion in particular is horrible in terms of story line.
2 great characters from Warcraft 3, Illidan and Kael'thas, who are very deep characters with complex motivations and purposes are reduced to simple villains and the only explanation for their new villainy is 'they've gone mad'.
Furthermore, both Turalyon and Alleria, some of the heroes from previos games are nowhere to be seen despite them suppodesly being on Outland. Khadgar, another great hero is reduced to an extra despite his big role in previous games.
But they did do Arthas's story well. His death in particular was handled very well.
So yeah, discuss Warcraft here.

Warcraft was also one of the first real games that got as well, and long with Starcraft was my first real experience with an RTS. I can't remember if I've played the original but played two quite often, same with three. As for WoW I just played that too much overall. And while the storyline suffered somewhat in WoW it was fun experiencing other aspects of the world.
Didn't really hear too much about Illidan's fall in Outlands, but KT was more the fact that he changed masters and that was the reason he went a little nuts. But they did do good with Arthas' line

Basically, Illidan was advertised as the main villain yet only showed up in the Black Temple patch where you aid Maiev (the bitch from Frozen Throne) kill Illdan because he has gone mad from magic addiction. Blizzard's way of introducing new villains these days is to take a morally ambiguous and well-loved character from previous games and say he went insane.
With both Illidan and Kael'thas, there was so much wasted potential.

The only warcraft game I've played is Warcraft 3. That was a ton of fun, although I only played multiplayer it was against my friends. I have this particular moment where I managed to save both my allies and annihilate the cpu's army.
Good times, good times.

I never actually played it. I just really didn't understand it when I once saw a friend playing it.
