Hey! Like I said, I regret nothing XD! Besides, I already got Lugia and most of the legendaries in my Pokémon White Version, so it doesn't matter, at least to me.

The remakes aren't released on the 10 th anniversary. FRLG came out 8 years after Red and Green while HGSS came in the 10th anniversary. A single instance isn't enough to say it's a pattern. At this point, a RS remake is unlikely. Maybe in the sixth gen but that would also break the 'pattern' of remaking a game after 2 generations. Again, it takes more than a few instances to determine a pattern. At this point, remaking games after 2 generations is merely a coincidence. I think it's a little harsh to fully believe that there will never be a remake of R/S/E. I have an 11year old nephew who already demands a remake of Diamond. The games make constant reminders and mentions of places in the Hoenn and Sinnoh region. Do we take that as a sign of a remake - maybe. The fact that GameFreak had went to the trouble to remind us of those days is great. I think there will be a remake in the near future. I'm not saying its coming out next year or the year after. Gamefreak isn't one of those game companies that ignore their fans. They just take the most request from their fans and try to do what they can to the best of their ability. They brought a lot of reminders of Hoenn and Sinnoh in BW2 did they not? So why stop there? I really doubt they plan to start 6th gen. It's just too rushed even for them. I don't know if next year will be the year that the remake will start or not. We can only wait. We can't just throw away the towel and convince ourselves that the remake is out of their reach just because it has been eights years since Emerald and ten years since Ruby and Sapphire were released.

I would love a remake but for marketting purposes, they are unlikely to happen this Gen.

I would just love it because they were my favorite games and probably the first games where I actually beat the Elite Four and the Champion.

At this point, I don't think that it's going to happen. Guess how they're going to be celebrating the 10th anniversary in Japan? They're doing a distribution of Groudon to Black 2 and Kyogre to White 2. So, I'm kind of doubting a Ruby and Sapphire remake now.

Boo D:
Sigh, well, maybe someday they'll remake them, or at least do SOMETHING in order to commemorate them. Gen 3 is my absolute favorite out of all of them.

It would be nice if there are going to be remakes. Sapphire Version is the first game that I owned.

Emerald was my first Pokemon game. I read once that Satoshi whats-his-face posted on twitter that third gen was very dear to him and that he would be interested in remaking RS.
So at least he seems fondly interested.
And I mean, come on. They would get tons of money for remaking those games. So I think it'll come eventually.

I would love for that to happen. I've got fond memories of the time I spent playing the Third gen games. It's special to me for a lot of reasons. That gives me hope.
