do any of u guys miss the voice actress veronica taylor? i know i do ever since they replaced her to another person i was upset. i really really disliked mays voice (/.\) ashs voice was ok i guess but my gosh mays voice was a bit annoying dont get be wrong i love her  but i just didnt like the fact that they changed her voice actress :/ |

Oh, I definitely agree with you there. The first time I heard May's new voice, I cringed. I'm accustomed to it now, but that doesn't mean I like it.  But yeah, I love both Ash and May's last voice actor (and not just because they had the same one lol). |

Change is hard to get used to. I know she's a great actress and all, but change is imminent.

I definitely do. I saw a video on YouTube once where Veronica was being interviewed at a con I think, and someone asked her if she missed voicing Ash, and she started to cry. Voicing Ash was a lot more than just a job for her. She really cared about his character and was heartbroken when she found out she wouldn't be voicing him anymore. The voice actor changes for all the characters was mainly why I stopped watching the show :/ I tried my very best to be strong during Battle Frontier, but after a while the only time I would watch an episode is if it turned out to be shippy, lol xD I stopped altogether during DP. The only episodes I watched in that saga were the Wallace Cup episodes. I wish the WB actors could have stayed  |

Lol I remember when I watched the first episode with the new voice actors I was like "Pfft, screw this. I'm done with Pokémon anime." xD. I did go back eventually and complete the advance generation episodes though.
The old voice that I really missed was James's.

I stopped actually actively watching the series before the voice actors changed so I didn't notice until I went back and started watching them again later. But like others here I wasn't all that happy with the change, especially since I started watching the series almost right when it came to the US. I watched a few episodes in DP but even then it was mostly the Japanese seiyuu. The producers in Japan usually work pretty hard to get the seiyuu to match the character so I barely ever have complaints about their acting.

Yeah, I agree, the Japanese voice actors for Pokemon are all fantastic. I just wish the episodes themselves weren't so hard to come by xD

Eh, I really didn't care too much. I mean, she was a great voice actor, but I didn't actually realize that they changed the voice actors until a year or two ago. I was kind of oblivious. Hehehe.

Yes the voices changing was a big let down. I would've liked it better with the original actors voice!!

Not really. I mean the new voices were genuinely bad in Battle Frontier but it was only because they didn't seem sure on whther they wanted to imitate the old actors or do their own thing and ended up doing both rather badly. The new VAs settled in quite nicely by the time of DP.

I didn't realise they had changed until about halfway thorugh Diamond and Pearl. When I found out my reaction was "Oh. ... Back to watching then!" The change didn't really bother me that much.

It was very confusing with Ash's voice actor in German xD
First, its a woman who speaks him, although it still souds very manly
Seconds, they used the first voice actor from season 1 to season 4 before they used a second voice actor (again a woman) from season 4 to season 14
Since season 14 it's again the first voice actress
It's quite confusing after that period of time
It's like if Ash became younger again xD
