I think it's best we move on from all of this, please. In the mean time, I think we should get back to discussing the more dire topic: advanceshipping! xD

*cracks knuckles* It's business time.......... Ash and May, AKA Advanceshipping, best represents what children should be doing these days. Some examples are Going out to play, having adventures with friends, and just havinf fun. Advanceshipping can also teach the generation of today, of what it's like to be a true friend. May and Ash supports and comfort each other in desperate times of need. Other examples include cheering for your friends, helping them, and have fun while helping. Although, you might find that the widespread of media coverage of "virtues" for kids, already "there" and have lots of "shows" about it, but nothing can compare to Pokemon. Advanceshipping, in once case, best represent the values that we should all know and love. Children and adults, all alike, will still enjoy this still popular TV show even it it still has advanceshipping. So the media spread for the first paragraph is no problem. Another reason why advanceshipping should be canon is the fun they bring and compatibility. Ash and May are fun people who likes to go out and have fun. They have wild adventures and catch Pokemon. What can be greater than that? The movies they bring ar also exciting, like The Sea Temple or The Mystery of Mew, or even Destiy Deoxys. This fun couple will bring excitment into our lives even more if they're canon and travel a lot more. Now to travel, they need to be compatible, right? The compatibilty between these two is one quite remarkable, though. One can obvioulsy see that they're best friends, from the way Ash coaches her and gives advice. They eat, have a burning passion for adventuring, and support each other, are few of the examples that they are compatible. One cannot even begin to dream of a better ebst friend for Ash than May! After all, they're part of thousands and millions of people's dreams out there waiting for advanceshipping to happen. Now as I don't want to take too long on theis segment of the show, I'll end it with a personal and heartfelt message. People out there have hopes and dreams, like May and Ash. One of my dream is that advanceshipping will be canon, and it will be. As May and Ash strive for their goals with help frome ach other, Advanceshippers frm around the world will do the same with other Advanceshippers. One cannot simply imagine that they will make a shipping canon by itself; it takes effort, time, and teamwork. As May and Ash are slowly going to become together, we, Advanceshippers, will continue knowing that advanceshipping wil be canon. Thank you for having me on your show tonight! Beat represents what children should be doing these days? Traveling the world at the age of ten without adult supervision? Being a travel buddy with a teenage pervert and a seven year old? How is that what children should be doing these day? Also people out there do have hopes and dreams. Aside from ash and nay, doesn't dawn have a dream to be a top coordinator and so does drew? How about mistys dream to be the best water trainer ever or Garys dreams to be a professor ? How does the two having hopes and dreams differ from any of the other characters? I would push much further but I'm limited on time. Just some quick little things I wanna question.

Advanceshipping should be canon simply because it seemed like the writers intention in the first place. For the first time, they introduced a character very similar to Ash in terms of design, Pokemon, appetite ( ), personality, and even battling. The same could be said about how May was the only girl to actually EQUAL Ash's level (see Terracotta ribbon). As I do not personally see this as a hint, I do see it as something that makes ASing stand out. It was also the first time they introduced a character who had allowed both Ash and herself to benefit from each other, and also benefited Ash's maturity. May is also the only Pokegirl to actually rarely tease or show any disrespect towards him. Dawn had almost the exact same role as May did, yet she teased and argued with him, whereas May was always kind to Ash and respected him. It was a healthy relationship between the two, one with little-to-no fighting. In fact, this whole ship is mainly based off the occasional hints and their friendship. This is a much different scenario as Contestshipping, as Drew's behavior was a fickle, yet consistent pattern of being rude to later on throwing a rose to May. Contestshippers argue that Drew did that to bring out the best in May. Now I actually believe that and I find it something to push CS, honestly, but there is one thing about it I have a problem with: As a ten-year-old, does Drew even know that May is aware of this? She seemed like she didn't. The Wynaut episode is an exception behind my dislike of Contestshipping because quite frankly I do not like love/hate relationships that are occasionally built off rivalry. On the topic of CS'er's most argued "anti-hint" of ASing, May did not leave the AG group to travel with Drew. It was established she loved to travel, and none of them at the time knew about Sinnoh. Also, she decided she needed to become an independent trainer. If she was traveling with Drew (and/or Harley and Solidad), it would've been revealed in her cameo in DP. Later on, with the appearance of Drew and reappearance of May, Advanceshipping began to lose its hold, but as Advanced Generation advanced (no pun intended), there were beginnings of more hints. A prime example of this would be the multitude of hints in Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. As earlier hints behind Advanceshipping remained questionable and debatable among other shippings, the 9th movie of the Pokemon animation dropped many hints that were very difficult to argue with. Examples of these hints are when Manaphy feels comfortable around not only May, but Ash as well. We see this when the rare Pokemon switches the bodies of Ranger Jack and Ash. He could've easily changed him with May, but he chose Ash. Also, when Ranger Jack states that Ash is the closest to May, and not Max. Also, the Luvdisc and pod, but I will not get into that, as you've probably been fed that repeatedly already. Pokeshipping is interesting to me, as there were some obvious hints behind it (to the point where the audience as children were fully aware of Misty's crush), but at the same time it was almost completely one-sided towards Misty. Ash's immature self was almost x2 as much dense as he was in AG and DP, which restricted him to get any of Misty's hints, letalone return the feeling. Also, in May's reappearance, little-to-no hints were dropped, leading me to the idea that Misty has moved on. To summarize my thoughts (tl;dr), I think that ASing is based off wonderful friendship, the reliance of one another (and hints), and the fact that they are so similar. CSing and PoSing has their respective hints, but they just don't work in my eyes. Okay remember I'm a CNN reporter. I know nothing about shillings besides what you told me. I've probably watched episodes with y kids but to watch them because it's a kids show and not for the shipping. It was their intention in the first place? How so? Maybe the writers lost creativity along the way. Also, may equaled Ashs level? Last I heard, she got farther in the grand festival than ash ever did in a league tournament. She well passed him already. So,how would that stand out? First time they introduced a CHARACTER that benefited from each other? Wouldn't you say Mistys tough love made ash stronger? Didn't ash maybe make misty a little nicer along the journey? Hasn't ash given Brock the opportunity to travel with him and enjoy his journey and isn't ash benefiting by having Brock as an older brother figure? Also, it's a healthy relationship huh? Rarely teasing?most couples tease.. A lot. They also fight. Everyone has opinions and without arguing or fighting, couples won't get to discuss their beliefs with each other. How is AS a healthy relationship with rarely any expression or form of fighting and bickering? Now this contestshipping that you bring up..he brings the best out of her? Makes her mad and give her a rose? Maybe he's apologizing for what he did? And you also bring up a great point. They are ten year olds! How is a relationship even possible for ANY of them? And you just admitted you don't like relationships built on love and hate. That doesn't provide ne with facts why it shpuld be canon. I feel you're bias to your ship and speak tome with just opinion. And before I get any further, it feels most of what you have to say revolves around why contestshipping shouldn't be canon. I feel you're not confident with your own ship to resort into putting down another one... Just something I would like to point out. And don't get me started with the movie. Ash is the chosen one. He has a connection with all legendaries. And of course jack would go to ash. Going to max is just dumb. He's a little boy. On to pokeshipping. Much like misty, it also was said that may also hosed feelings. Just like misty, may left because of ashs denseness. It also seemed one-sided. How do the two differ? Also in the end sentence you said they were a great friendship. I thought this was based on a relationship. And IN YOUr EYES, PS and CS just don't fit. Another bias opinion. Dont take anything I say to heart. This is to sharpen up your belief and argument. Trust me you'd rather me make you feel like shot than get to a debate with a rival ship. Take this as a way to sharpen up. Now.. To get into my next interview.

If I was a CNN reporter and I asked you to tell me why Advanceshipping should be canon, how would you reply to me?Like THIS. *puts sunglasses of coolness on* Let’s roll. In my opinion, AdvanceShipping should be canon because it just makes the most sense. If you think about it, in which situation would you want to be in more? Situation A = You’re constantly fighting and bickering, and sometimes you stop fighting for enough time to appreciate each other’s talents and abilities. Situation B = You respect each other and treat each other as complete equals. You have lots of similarities and share mainly the same interests, and work great together as a team. I would choose Situation B, if I had a choice, and it just so happens that situation B relates a lot to AdvanceShipping! Ash and May share a lot of the same interests, such as food, Pokémon, and battling. They also treat each other (mostly) as equals, and are so similar that they can sometimes know what the other is thinking, such as in ‘Home Is Where the Start Is’ they both know that they should split the ribbon with Sceptile’s Leaf Blade, without discussing the matter prior to the event. They work great together as a team, as seen in many occasions, and are the best of friends. The reason I like AdvanceShipping is because of not only that, but also because it seems that if they got together, then they would have the most stable relationship, compared to as if Ash got together with a person who he bickers with constantly or someone that he has no similarities with. Ash seemed to bring out the best of May, and helped her at almost any chance that he could get, which is the opposite of what her rival Drew, did at first. But then, after some time, they both tried to bring out the best of May, but it highly contrasting ways. Ash and May share a strong bond and friendship, and I think that it could easily develop into something more. Although there is much more evidence I could bring up to support AdvanceShipping, that is just a short summary. I think that The Pokémon Company should make this shipping canon (if they make any shipping canon) because it sets a good example on how to treat each other, and how a perfect love/love (as contrasted to love/hate) relationship is in fact feasible and would benefit both of those who are in the relationship (in this case, Ash and May). So, in that case, the new generation wouldn’t be a bunch of love/hate losers. And that’s (mostly) why I love AdvanceShipping (I left out a lot of stuff…). And why AdvanceShipping should become canon, as well. ^^ I'll admit, I actually enjoyed this interview. No offense to the others but you didn't go too headstrong like they did. You actially interacted with me and had me think about it a little bit. But like the others, I'll be harsh also. All three brought up good points but the bad doesn't get past me. IN YOUR OPINION it makes the most sense. Like I said to the other two. Opinion. What I did like is you gave me two options to think about. Tbh, there really isnt much wrong with situation one and I could have easily picked it but you got lucky on situation b by bringing up the word team. I used to play sports so I'm all about working as a team and I like the idea of equals. But i wanna ask,Why do you say they treat each other as equals? With the similar traits though, you could have been mug better with your choices. The show is about pokemon and everyone battles with them so almost everyone on the show share those traits so what other traits do they have that are similar? And te reference to the last episode, I liked that mention. It shows that they have developed a closeness that they are in sync with each other. Most stable? How so? They are young and the other females could grow mature and so could te potential males. And you acknowledged that drew also had his strong points. It shows your confident with your ship enough to compliment the others. I like your approach. The new generation comment made me laugh for some reason. And I still wanna see some reasoning on how they work together as a team and how they treat each oter as an equal. Don't know why I like this betterhan the others. It was short and sweet and it was har to find flaws. It also gave me a the opportunity to stimulate my mind about relationships and your points were just entertaining. Still some points to work on but very minimal. Great job. Love to hear more.

Ash had won the Orange Islands league and got Top 4 in Sinnoh, whilst May had gotten into Top 8 in the Hoenn Grand Festival and Top 4 in the Kanto Grand Festival. After traveling through a region together as a student/teacher relationship, Ash and May had tied in their final battle, which shows that they were finally equal. It seems that May and Ash are equal after all.
The writer's losing creativity should not be a factor in May's Pokemon. Out of all the other 365 Pokemon (of course excluding the other legendaries of course; at the time), they gave her Pokemon with similar circumstances to Ash's (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Shipping:AdvanceShipping; Under "Similarities"). They could've given May anything.
On the topic of the movie, Manaphy was just an infant. How would it know Ash was the chosen one? Instinct? Also, in that logic, Ash is also a little kid. Max also has enough maturity to deal with the situation.
