Man, for some reason it's felt like FOREVER since the Sword and Shield games came out. Can't wait to see what they have in store for Gen IX! Also, Scarlet and Violet, huh? Those are definitely references of some sort to Red and Blue. I wonder what this means for how the games will look like. As for where these games are set, I've got no frigging clue. I was thinking Kanto due to the Red and Blue references, but obviously the terrain is brand-new and looks nothing like Kanto's. Anyway, here are the official images of characters and Pokémon released thus far: Male player character:Female player character:Sprigatito, the Grass starter:Fuecoco, the Fire starter:Quaxly, the Water starter:I like how the player characters' standard appearances differ between versions. I wonder if that'll be important to the games' storyline. As for what I think about the starters, I'll wait till I see more, but Quaxly looks like a pompous asshole. XD

XD Personally I feel like SWSH came out too recently. Also, the female character looks too much like Candice (ice gym leader) lol

Only that it's felt like forever since we were talking about Gen VIII. Then again, I've been out of the Pokémon loop for months now, so... I guess it's time for me to headcanon the female character as a relative of Candice's. XD

I never really played the SwSh games as i'm not much into ingame games. Being a competitive mons players, Gen 8 competitive is like one of the most bad competitive metas being very bland due to dex cuts. Mons like corvi, pex, lando and other stuffs are too dominating not providing healthy metagame. Dragapult is also broken due to it's speed and access to dragon dance and stab darts and phantom force. What i really want in gen 9 is a lot more balanced meta with limited dex cuts.

Being a Ubers mainer, Gen 8 was not too bad for me, As long as we ban Caly, I'm perfectly fine, abt Gen 9, idk much rn, BDSP Ubers never attracted me and it's bad, let's see what happens here, Will Arceus be added to Ubers? If yes then well... Don't ban Caly lmao

Well that starters are certainly interesting... Really leaning towards the weed cat though LOL. The protagonists outfits could have been better, but they are 10 I guess xD Hopefully there's customization in this game since it isn't a remake~ Thanos why would you think it'd be in kanto? I don't think the colour choices mean so much xD They've beat the kanto drum quite a lot already, and the starters are new too.

I don't know; they've been beating that drum since Gen VI, I believe, so it wouldn't surprise me.

I've seen that theory floating around a lot. Given the rumor that the theme colors for the titles match the Spanish national flag, I'd say it could be correct.

So got the game yesterday and 2 hours in I love it so far, feels so different yet familiar at the same time. I got Violet! But it was hard to choose between them, could've went either way but my cousin got Scarlet so 🤷 there's so much to do in this game especially in the beginning, but not in an overwhelming way, more like in an adventure sense.
Also... Fuecoco supremecy 🔥 🔥 🔥

thats cool though i think scarlet has better paradox forms than violet but i guess it depends from individual whether they like the futuristic gui or the latter one, also fuecoco gang.

Yeah personally the future looks are cool, but they look too robotic for me. Like I would assume for a game thats literally based on evolution and mutations, theyd change the pokemon's forms without making them look like robots, like how they would naturally evolve in the paldea region. But I don't know how long I'll have to look at those forms anyway, probably not that long, so it's fine. xD
