Ladies and gentlemen, with the holidays just around the corner and the forum's recent resurgence of activity, we've decided it’s time for the return of our forum's oldest event: the seventh formerly-annual Advancers Secret Santa! The whole idea of the Secret Santa is to make a gift for someone (a one-shot, art piece, etc), and somebody else will make a gift for you (gifts don't necessarily need to be Advanceshipping/Pokemon related). The rules are simple. 1) The Secret Santa is open to all individuals that have demonstrated active participation in the community, subject to staff discretion. Members will be added to the list of participants at the end of this post once the event-staff confirm their eligibility; any concerns regarding member ineligibility will be addressed via PM. 2) Sign-ups for the event are open as of today, November 22. When signing up, you will be asked to post the following information: - Name:
- A Little Bit About Yourself
- Favourite Things:
- Preferred Gift:
3) The deadline to register for the event is December 4th at 11:00pm MST, as names will be distributed the following day. Due to the nature of the event, we cannot accept late entries. 4) All eligibility requirements must be met between the time sign-ups open and the time names are distributed. 5) Names will be drawn and distributed by the staff ( Dr. Phil E. Sophical ) on December 5th. 6) Gifts should be delivered between December 24th and December 31st, and may be delivered in this thread or by the PM system. If you deliver via PM, please notify the event-staff that you’ve made your delivery. 7) In the event that you are unable to finish your gift by the assigned window, you are responsible for contacting one of the staff members in charge of the event ( Dr. Phil E. Sophical ) to arrange an extension. The length of extensions will be determined on a case by case basis, but will not exceed 3 weeks in any case. 8) If your Secret Santa receives an extension, you will receive notification from the staff. If your Secret Santa fails to deliver the gift within the specified window, and you have received no such notification, contact the staff members in charge of the event. In the event that your Secret Santa does not complete a gift, the staff will make arrangements to ensure that you receive one. 9) Failure to notify the staff of the need for an extension and/or failure to deliver your gift within the specified window (accounting for any extensions received) may result in consequences including – but not limited to – temporary suspension of forum account or bans against participation in future events, which will be determined on a case by case basis. 10) Have fun! Names will be assigned by random draw on December 5th. Meaning I'll put every name in a hat, then PM each participant who they drew out of the hat to make a gift for. You won't know who drew your name until they deliver your gift in the last week of December.
Gifts can be whatever the person making them wants, but generally end up being a one-shot fanfic or fanart focused on one of the interests the recipient lists in their event profile (e.g. "I'd really like a banner with [character] in it to use in my signature on the forum"). You don't have to make exactly what the person requests, but you should make sure it incorporates at least some of the interests they list.

Hi, I’m the KingOfPetitions! I’m a fifteen year old guy from south-eastern Michigan. I enjoy gaming, as well as video editing a lot. Although, my YouTube channel is still tiny compared to what I hope it’ll get to, I have hope that it’ll eventually get to be much larger in the near future (also spoiler alert: if you check out my channel on Christmas, there’ll be a video where I reveal something that you may be really interested in about myself if you don’t already know, so you should go check it out lol). My ideal gift would be either an adv fanfic with some kind of really sweet interactions between Ash and May or a signature pic with a similar theme.

So I thought I'll participate - Name - Ruthlesssceptile6 (Ruth for short) A little bit about myself - I'm just a regular Indian teen who's hotheaded, gets angry quickly, but only for a short time, otherwise a caring and sweet guy, I'm interested in sports (Namely Cricket, Football, Chess, and Table Tennis) and designing (Almost everything) very much, my hobbies include reading and writing fanfics, making edited banners and stuff... I wish my fanfic (D S B) crosses 500 Reviews someday (I know it's impossible, it's only 59 reviews in 11 chapters till now... But dreaming is good...) I also wish to be like my idols ( LuciferIX and Gerbiltfw) I also wish my fic gets at least 50 favs and follows till New year (Again a damm impossible thing, but it can be possible if you all fav and follow it....) I also wish I get a review of LuciferIX and PichuAuraGuardian19 in my fic.... I also wish that all members here, from A for Aquadrop to Z for @zekeadv144 read my fanfic ... Gift preferred - It's nothing much guys, just read my fanfic once, it will be enough for me, even if you don't review, fav, follow it.... I want your opinions, just that or the members here who's fic's are not updated from a long time can update them, but the most I prefer is if LuciferIX starts writing again....lol Ok so this was my entry! |

I like funny things - literally anything can make me laugh, dessert, nature, snow, long walks on the beach (yes I know this isn't a dating profile LMAO). Currently I've gotten back into the Avatar The Last Airbender fandom, I also love Marvel (especially the Champions!), Pokemon & New Girl. For a gift anything would work, a fanfic/art with one of my fav ships like advanceshipping, zutara, etc. Or maybe a new signature picture because Dr. Phil E. Sophical made mine ugly LOL. I was also bored of my old one. XD Whatever is easier! Ok bye. |
