I just saw this movie and it was totally on point! Best Spider-Man movie of all time!

Awesome! I think I'll be watching, then. How would you rate the "Spider-Man" franchises from best to worst, PichuAuraGuardian19?

Well, honestly, I still have yet to see the second Amazing Spider-Man movie, and I don't think any of them were really that bad compared to what everyone says about them (except maybe 3). But if I had to say, I'd put Spider-Man Homecoming on top, followed by Amazing Spider-Man, and then the early 2000s Spider-Man movies after that. On account that while Tobey and Garfield cry a bunch, Tom Holland doesn't cry once. XD

XD I personally put the Maguire movies above the Garfield ones because of nostalgia, their faithfulness to the original comics as much as possible, and the fact that they really seemed to know where they were going with the first two. The Garfield movies were eh; the fact that we had a reboot five years after the last entry of the original series just seemed so unnecessary to me.

Well, the reason why I put Amazing Spider-Man over the Macguire movies is simply because it's closer to what a movie should be. Nostalgia and closeness to the comics is all fine and dandy, but it's important to remember that this is a not a comic book. It's a totally different medium. Not to mention the fights in the Garfield movies are much better in terms of choreography. And the first one includes one of the best Stan Lee cameos of all time. Another reason has to do with the female leads. In just one movie, Gwen does so much more than Mary Jane ever did in three.

This movie is awesome.
It has the "spiderman is an awkward nerdy teenager" down pat with some well executed jokes expected of a spidey movie, with a balance on being a superhero/romcom movie, and also finally vulture is the villain.
Though I'm a tad bit dissapointed thry didn't call/design the spider suit as the spider-armor. Just nitpicking.
It's not too dark even it ties in with MCU; expect a second coming.
My hopes: please have mysterio in the next one.
Holland or Maguire? Can't say, might prefer Maguire because I like it when the movie makes the character cries a lot. :laughs:

Just thought it'll be nice to have something different like, idk, spidey 2099 suit?

That could be saved for a potential Spidey 2099 film, 'cause I can't imagine that suit being used for the present day.

Huh, I'm wondering how normal fans will react to the non-peter parker spidey, like spidergwen.

I think the issue with that is a lot of people who go see these movies don't know the comics, or the characters in them. Sure, they know the big ones like Spider-Man and Iron Man, but not the more obscure ones. Granted, SpiderGwen isn't super obscure, but I think you get what I mean. As for why they didn't call the suit "Spider Armor," it's not really armor. Yes, it has KAREN and it had a bunch of special features, but the material doesn't seem durable enough to be called "armor." Besides, if you want something to call armor, we did get to see the Iron Spider armor, which has already been confirmed to be used in Avengers: Infinity War.

I think Infinity War will fix 'some' of that issue, then maybe it can make way for newer not x-men or avengers stuff (because it is supposed to be if the revealed timeline is right). And hey, there is a fighting game with the cast from infinity war to be released IIRC. I can't really name who's super obscure, probably new xmen but that got a series I'm thinking with the 'Peter makes his own suit' mind so I just wanted to see it getting upgraded litle by little instead of a 'Tony Stark superpack powersuit' like the idea of a Mk 2 and so on. I know can't wait to see how they handle this new bunch of cast. Thanos the funny part is always the confusion. And little kids asking you why spiderman wears bandages/not red.

I liked the movie, at first I was skeptical because I liked Andrew. But Tom is perfect for spider because he looks like a dorky, average kid(like the role calls for).I just wish they didn't advertise so much about Zendaya being in the movie if she didn't have a strong role. She had like 30+ lines.
