So, I haven't played this game yet (or any of the Zelda franchise regrettably), but I've been watching a few playthroughs of it, and it looks really good. Figured it deserved its own thread.

Clocked 80 hours into it. Really enjoyed it. But can't deny, a bit bored with the game.
Shrines, Side Quests done.
I hate the unavailability of certain Zelda Amiibos. I want all those tunics.

I stopped watching after the first 5 things listed wrong with BotW. Seems stupid. That was literally the entire point. Some things on the list were valid claims, and some were meant to be a joke. Anyways, BotW is pretty good game |

So, I finally got this game a couple months ago, and I have been loving it. I was able to get up to thirteen hearts recently, so now it’s time to go hunting for the Master Sword.

So, I am really excited about this new game (though I really need to finish the first one. XD). I was actually thinking about the trailer, and a reaction I watched made something click... So, a reaction video pointed out that the corpse could very well be Demise, and thinking about it, the castle did appear like it was rising from the ground, so what if everything’s going to return to the sky? This could very well change the environment a bit, giving us a lot more to explore in this new game. It’s too soon to tell, but I’m actually thinking this could be possible.
Also, just as a side note, I’m really hoping Zelda gets to journey alongside us or we get to play as her in this one. I’m a newer fan to this series, but it seems like Zelda almost always gets the shaft by being captured. I was talking to a friend of mine who says this probably won’t happen as the traditional formula is for her to get captured somehow in every game.
But honestly, why can’t they change the formula? I mean, BotW changed a lot when it comes to the Zelda formula, so why not give Zelda a chance to shine? I mean, the series is named after her, so seeing her get some hero time would be pretty sweet. We’ll have to wait and see, but either way, I’m really stoked that they’re giving this game a sequel and not just switching it up to a new Link and Zelda immediately. |

If Demise made a comeback, I would be okay with that, although I'd be wary of how they did it. He was sealed in the Master Sword to be destroyed or however Fi put it at the end of Skyward Sword. The only thing that remained of him was his curse leading to Ganondorf's (and other villains') rise millennia later, which leads me to believe it's likely just Ganondorf's corpse we saw in that trailer. Other points of evidence for it are the jewel on its forehead and the garb it was clothed in bear Gerudo markings.
But yes, please, give us a playable Zelda or something. Have that new--and freaking adorable, just gotta say--haircut have a use, Nintendo! |
