According to Wikipedia (and a source was provided for that, though it's entirely in Japanese), the movie will be a retelling of the entire first season, and Ho-Oh's appearance will be important in the film's storyline. Make what you will of it. *barf*

Make what you will of it. The PokeShippers are going to reappear in droves. I know this is an anniversary thing, but I wouldn't mind seeing this idea implemented with the other seasons, too. Definitely would love to see May actually move and talk in the newer art style.

Why cant they do something like the 10th anniversary, and have everyone meet up in Kanto or something. Sigh.

[/p][/quote] It probably has something to do with the number of traveling companions. It was already bad enough with Kanto through Kalos, but now we've added five more companions to the roster. Add them all up, and you get sixteen characters besides Ash. Not to mention Gary, his mom, Oak, and a few other regulars. Barely any of them would get any development/screen time in a special like that.

It could just be some team-up to stop a bad guy like the 10th anniversary special.

"The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon", I believe. Oh. No offense, but I really didn't like that special. That was right after they changed all the voices because The Pokémon Company became a thing, and you could tell they weren't quite ready to voice these characters yet. They sounded so awful. Another thing has to do with the audience watching. The Pokémon anime is always serving to be watchable by every new generation, which is typically why Ash regresses each season. It's stupid, but that's just how it's done. The thing is, most of the new watchers have never even seen Brock, Misty, Tracey, May, Max, or even Dawn. Heck, it's coming to the point where the newest fans have never seen Cilan or Iris (lucky firetruckers).

Yeah that special was meh, not because of the plot, but the voices. so I watched in the original Japanese voices. xD
It would be nice to atleast have a cameo, I just want to see all of them again. Like the first gen will never be forgotten because it's the first... but I feel like the rest of them don't get that luxury. ;__;

Funny that you should mention that because that special was released in English before it was released in Japanese. XD
