So here's a fun little fact. I was looking at the list for all of the English voice actors for the game and apparently the person who voices Rosalina in the Mario series has a part in this game.

Playing FE1... it's so fun. Though, fuck! Sometimes I will do a hard reset if I lose Shiida. I lost Cain to absolute sadness, but I WILL NOT LET SHIIDA DIE!
Fuck me.
I let her die because of the fucking stupidest shit.
Oh and I bought Awakening again for the shits and giggles. I paid like $12 for it.

Promotion bonuses when differently than in other games. They're much worse. It depends on the current state and the base stats of the class you promote to so you might not get any promotion gains at all. This, combined with the flat 20 cap on all stats, the fact that only 6 classes can promote at all (Archer to Sniper, Cavalier to Paladin, Mercenary to Hero and Priest/Cleric/Mage to Sage) as well as the insane stat boosters (speed ring gives +5 speed, for example) means that Jagen can be an absolute beast from start to end.

May I just say screw Intelligent Systems for not releasing enough Special Edition copies for the loyal fans? Two hours after preorders opened, they were gone :'( Unlucky me... I've been hoping that they would release more, but apparently not. So... thanks IS.
I really hope that Fates proves to be better than Awakening, though from what I've seen there isn't too much improvement. At least Conquest SOUNDS like it's aiming in the direction of older FE titles? I won't judge until I've played the games though. Reviews seem promising, but reviews also said Awakening was great (one of the worst FE titles, ever).

More FE4 music is good. Yes.
This quiet piece plays during what might be one of my favourite emotional moments in the game. The moment isn't milked for drama or tragedy. All it does is give you a rush of emotions, both good and sad. If you've played FE4, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Currently, this game is not impressing me... These starting chapters suck...
Also, the plot is cringe worthy so far, more-so than Awakening, which says something.

Yeah, I'm watching an LP and the first couple of chapters are really cringe worthy with their "We're a family!", "We love you!", " You're the nearest best ever!" dialogue from the siblings.

I'm on chapter 5, hard mode on Conquest, and I'm just like "What is with these stupid chapters? Who thought this was a good idea? It's currently Corrin in dragon form, who is the only one that can actually do anything, and like 4 useless characters that die to a single hit if unlucky. Like why? Why this chapter? Corrin gains like FOUR experience points per kill. WHY? |
