I restarted at least 20 times on chapter 9/10... and I feel 11 won't be very different...
I hate the pairing system, and I hate this whole "adjacent units join into attacks"... half the time my units won't fight together, and even then the sheer number of enemy units give them a severe advantage on hard mode... and you are barely given anything in the form of troops. 1 cavalier, 1 knight, 1 fighter, 2 mages (Nyx died in chapter 10 because she sucks, terribly), 1 archer, MyUnit (who is one of my worst units somehow -_-), a maid (pretty much is solely for healing), a troubadour (a VERY fragile healer), and a dancer (always dies in one hit).
... With these new gameplay mechanics, most of my units die in 1-2 hits... and I can't tell if my RNG/luck is simply terrible, or if IS was high as hell when they were making this game.
I figured hard mode would be challenging, but it's just... bullsh-t. I don't die due to a lack of strategy, I die because my units can't take hits, and they can't exactly dodge either. Half the time, they can't even kill! One of my BEST UNITS is a MAID.
Conquest is really pissing me off... and I usually play HM on FE games without too much problem. I can't even imagine Lunatic...
Soon I'm either going to have to switch to normal mode, and figure things out (which I really don't want to do, and I don't think my experience will change very much anyway) or set the game down for a few days, because ugh...

Marth's official english VA is Yuri Lowenthal, he did a better job than in Codename S.T.E.A.M.

Dude, but Camilla... she gains no exp :'( It is hard enough to use what units I have right now, if they don't grow I'm pretty much screwed lol. Eh, something like that... I just can't get into the whole dual system thing. Didn't like it in Awakening, don't like it now. |

I'm looking at you Odin, Mr "I join 9 chapters later in Revelation than I do in Conquest but with same stats and get doubled by everyone who kill me in one hit anyway on my join chapter". |

Except its better now, since enemy can use it to fuck you up, especially the ones with the skill to siwtch places with you if the battle does not end(if someone does not die) In some maps, you can get yourself switched all the way infront of the boss and get said unit killed ASAP. Note: I say its better cause I enjoy hard or fire emeblem games with little to no compassion to the player. *cough* Thracia 776 *cough* |

Looking at your comments I am very happy I only played this in japanese hard and lunatic mode, means I stuck to the original gameplay, no story bullshit and was blind from most help from internet or not. and the idiotic fans that came with awakening. I sitll don't know what the plot really is about, and I don't wanna know I want my original experience to stay so cause it was good and fun and I feel if I know what plot it was, which at base looks corny, will ruin it for me.

Even though the story is shit and how the characters are all "WII JUV U CORN", the family connection always sucks when I have to choose one side or the other. That's one of the few good parts in the game. Still need to get Revelations though.

Note: I say its better cause I enjoy hard or fire emblem games with little to no compassion to the player. *cough* Thracia 776 *cough* I do enjoy Fire Emblem games that up the difficulty, and that put constant pressure on you... but when I die, I tend to die to random skills that pop up based on low percentage rates, or by hidden stat boosters that allow the enemy to just barely finish off one of my units... Or how the enemy always gets off attacks from adjacent units while mine don't want to half the time. I don't like having to rely on luck to win my battles, especially when luck is in the enemy's favor. One of my best units that I have right now, for example... is the cavalier you get in ch. 12 (Conquest only). And I'm on chapter 12. So... I actually really enjoyed Thracia 776... I never finished because I lost interest, not for it's difficulty. I gotta go back to it one of these days. |

Yeah... the plot isn't too bad at this point, but chapters 1-6 is really bad... and man, I just miss the old games... when Fire Emblem couldn't be compared to a dating simulator, and when units weren't holding hands and attacking together (in Awakening, if you weren't abusing the dual system you weren't playing optimally). I'd say to stick with the Japanese version, yeah XD Even the voice actors are painfully bad in the English version (most of them, anyway). |

Yeah, and then there's Camilla, who destroys everything in her path when she first joins (including sub-bosses). I was really needing a Jeigan to help tank some hits (Ellie does that fine enough, but still... any help counts), so instead I got a Harr. Which is nice... I suppose... |

O.o My units have enough issues as it is, I don't need another Nino/Donnel XD half of the people you get are bad, only 1(maybe 2) jagens are good, so with my narrow selection of units eevryone gets ripped like they went to the gym. O and i know it sounds boring and stupid but dance girl, get a chapter where is kill boss to win, and just dance spam to get her to high level, she will not get enough xp any other way, its what i did, cause she will be force bring on some chapters |
