So Echoes got leaked. If you want to discuss the leaks please use spoiler tags. Speaking of the leaks... There's a chapter 6 in the game and it reveals Grima's origins. I sure as hell didn't see that one coming. This is going to sound bad... Grima is the dragon from Awakening, no? Which is the same evil dragon from FE1/3/11/12? I know that Gaiden is tied to Archanea and all... but shouldn't the dragon's name be Medeus?
Okay then. I'll tell you what I know. Chapter 6 has you visit Archanea. You find a secret lab and info about an experiment run by some guy called Forneus. The experiment? Fusing divine dragon blood with the corpse of a dragon. Said dragon looking a lot like Grima. So yeah, I meant it when I said Grima.

What I'm saying is: Isn't Grima and Medeus the same dragon, just known by a different name after thousands of years? Like how Archanea is later known as Ylisse?
I mean, its never been confirmed, and if this is supposedly what happens in Echoes I guess they are just different dragons? That kinda sucks, though... in FE3/12, Medeus remarks that one day he will return, and the world will suffer yet again in darkness. I always assumed that Grima was the resurrected Medeus.
Oh well... :P

I can hear a bit of "Lost all alone" from Fates in this song. Is this in Gaiden? Forgive me I've never played Gaiden... #JustPlayGaidenBro

Yes But I'm not hearing what you're hearing in it. It shows up later on in the song... I'm not sure exactly how to explain it. It isn't the exact theme, but similar to it.

I kinda don't like it. It's too 'hype' for lack of better word. The original one's build up was far less epic and the result was a sorrowful or melancholic track that fit with the story because of Duma's motives, Rudolf's motives and the events of the previous chapter. From the moment you actually invade Rigel, you keep getting reminded of why they invaded in the first place and SoV does an even better job at expressing their desparation and the shot with the mass graves on parched land that likely hasn't seen rainfall in years (you see the scene I'm talking about in several trailers) so the soundtrack matches it to create a very sorrowful atmosphere which carries through to the final chapter. But the new version of the track doesn't really have that feel. Just look at Land of Sorrow as an example of the type of feeling the game is creating in the latter half of the game. The rest of the soundtrack is amazing though.

The rest of the soundtrack is amazing though. Eh, I can get what you mean, sorta. However, I can still hear that "sorrowful, melancholic" track, and it now also gives off the feeling that THIS is the final showdown, no limits, no restraints, and it is time to kill some bastards, as Alm would say. So I personally disagree, I think this "remix" adds a lot to the original version and enhances it to new proportions, and makes me feel like I am really going up against a Dark God (which Duma is). It still has the "melancholic" undertones, but has kicked it up a notch to make it feel more like a final boss track. So I like the new version better, even though I love the old one too. Note: I have not played Gaiden, this is all from an outsider's perspective. :P

Is that Yuri Lowenthal (ya know, the guy that voices just about everything nowadays?) voicing Alm? Not really feeling Alm's voice, regardless.
