I heard about the ending as well, but between where you are and the ending itself, there's a huge gap of enjoyment. I'm actually reading the manga as we speak.

I really recommend watching and completing the anime. The manga you can read after the anime is finished, since they stopped the anime two arcs before the ending of the manga.

Yes I'm using Tapatalk and I don't know about the anime, looks like some providers for it are down. And I felt more comfy with a manga than an anime(maybe it's my reading pace?).

Well, I'm currently reading the manga to finish the series and the images are sometimes so dynamic that I don't understand them and that bothers me. I don't want you to spend the entire series trying to figure out what's going on. That's what the anime is for.
