For those who aren't aware, Pokemon Shuffle is a free game on the 3DS which is similar in nature to the app Candy Crush and other matching games of that style.
The basic goal of the game is to match Pokemon icons in rows of three or more in order to damage a target Pokemon at the top of the screen. When the target's HP meter reaches zero, it is defeated and you are given the chance to try and capture it, adding it to your collection to use in later puzzles.
The catch to all of this is that you only get a limited number of plays in a certain time period. Every thirty minutes, you are given a heart, allowing you to play another stage. However, you can only hold up to five hearts at a time when gaining them this way, so at least one must be used up to start the countdown over. This can be circumvented by using gems, which you either collect on special occasions or purchase in a micro transaction on the eShop.
So, what do you guys think of this game? Love it? Hate it? Want to throw it into Mount Doom? I want to hear your thoughts.

So far it's been pretty fun. Though Psychic Pokémon seem to always be tough to take down. Dang female Meowstic.

Personally I have trouble with Fighting types. There's two stages for Throh and Sawk one right after the other, and it took me all five hearts that I had this morning to beat the former.

For those who don't know, today's Daily Special Pokemon is Meowth, though this is a bit different from the one you can fight in the main game. Instead of capturing it, your goal is to match up coins to get a reward at the end. This can only be done once per day, but it will run on Saturdays and Sundays for the next few weeks. Personally, I recommend using the +5 moves power up to maximize your chances to get coins. Do it right and you'll easily make back the 800 coins the power up costs and then some.

Just had a Chimecho nearly kill itself before I even moved. It dropped some tokens which kicked off a 20-move combo...

Omg, I LOVE Pokemon Shuffle! I always told my mom if there was ever a Pokemon-based version of Candy Crush, I would get straight up addicted. And lo and behold, my prophecy was true! XD I'm currently stuck on Mega Gengar though. Even with a megastart, I wasn't able to beat him!

The thing that's a little off-putting about him to me now is that his Mega Ability just erases the other Mega Gengars on the board. Admittedly, it's useful in some places but I have trouble using him. On the other hand, Mega Glalie is extremely annoying to beat as well, but so worth it to get in my opinion. Regular Glalie's ability freezes the enemy and he has the fastest-charging Mega Meter in the game. Unrelated side-note: Ever since Gen 4 I always find myself calling Glalie "he" because Froslass is always female. Am I alone in this?

Not even gonna THINK about catching him until later down the road, especially if they have a low catch rate. I had some trouble with Mega Glalie as well - around the fifth time fighting it, I realized had to use a megastart and Moves +5 to have a fighting chance. :'D And yeah, I do the same thing! Really doubt many people have female glalies nowadays (unless through the ORAS demo).
