how old is ash anyway? i've a unoficial thoery. if every league in the anime happens once a year, (except the orange league) counting the one year ash spent in the battle frontier before the sinnoh league, we simply cont the leagues ash has participated in. so if he was 10 when he began added to the leagues (indigo-11, johto-12, hoenn-13, battle frontier-14, sinnoh-15, unova-16) ash is probably somewhere between 16-17 now.

no way they can't take out Ash hes the star of the show if they took him out that would be a death blow to the series they would lose tons of fans like how supposely someone told me they lost tons of fans when they took Misty, Dawn and more importantly May out this would kill the series
but if they did the Ash's kid thing they would have to be very very very! careful on how he looks my guess is he would almost look exactly like Ash (or at least the hair and eyes they give him brown hair and sapphire eyes its a dead give away who Ash married) maybe they could have Jessie, James and Meowth follow his kid around too trying to take his pokemon XD but I still don't think they could cut Ash out of pokemon

And actually, your theory would've been wrong even if he had actually aged anyway. Ash didn't turn eleven until early in his Johto journey.

Because the writers don't have a consistent time frame for the characters. They can take a week going there, or what feels like it, and only have it been half that time in the anime.

It's because they don't care about time. It's like the Hardy Boy's. They solve bazillion mystery but they never aged. Calvin and Hobbes, over a period of, I think it was 15 years? Cavlin never ages. Bart from the Simpsons, never does either.
It's not that it didn't happen in a year, the authors just don't consider time.

Add to that in that according to the novelization of the anime Ash got Pikachu 10 months, and 10 days after his 10th birthday that means he did all of Kanto in a little under 2 months. |

The novelization for the anime series puts Ash at getting his first Pokemon and trainer's license on the April after their 10th birthday as is the usual for trainers in that world. It was also said that Ash started his journey exactly 10 months and 10 days after his birthday putting him at 10 years, 10 months, and 10 days old when he got Pikachu. So if his 11th birthday was when he went to Johto, and assuming that he got Pikachu on April 1st, then that means he had to do all of Kanto in that 50 some odd days between April 1st and his birthday on May 22nd.
But even if he didn't get it on the first, everything but his birthday would still be correct. Time really doesn't flow very well in their dimension. No wonder there are so many teenagers but so few adults, lol.
