I'm just wondering how Pokemon X and Y are going to affect the anime. If Ash does indeed not return for the Gen VI seasons, then we'll see a new hero, obviously. For some reason, the Pikachu at the beginning of the X and Y trailer seemed to be some sort of foreshadowing to me... Then again, I'm probably just paranoid...

I uh... I'd like to apologize to everyone for failing to post my answer to my own topic earlier, as I had promised. I'll do that really soon, but first... How would you like the writers to pull it off? (I mean bringing an end to Ash's adventure, and beginning a new one). And what would you like to see happen next?I'd like to see this scenario: Someone or something (it could be either one) is threatening the safety of the entire Pokémon world to the point where everything would be destroyed and nothing would survive. Ash, all of his traveling companions, the Legendary Pokémon, practically everyone we're familiar with, would team together to fight this force. But it's all hopeless for our heroes. And this force kills everything. ... ... ... Nah, just kidding. Somehow, Ash would save the day, as usual, but this force is so powerful that even if it is defeated, Ash is apparently killed in the process. Everyone grieves, especially his mom and Pikachu, but then, there's evidence that Ash might still be alive (i.e. they can't find his body), therefore leaving his fate ambiguous. The new adventure begins years later with a new Trainer receiving Ash's Pikachu, and while the Trainer sets off to conquer whatever League it is, there's this other story arc which involves him/her and Pikachu looking for Ash. It also takes advantage the relationship between this new hero and Pikachu. Pikachu doesn't like his new master, but once he finally warms up to him/her, then he becomes overprotective because he's worried that he will lose his new master like he lost Ash. If the rumor is true and Ash does indeed leave, I hope it's this way. I find this scenario to be very plausible. That's a really interesting one... I agree with Pichu though. The scenario doesn't seem to be very plausible for a kid's show. But the topic was about what you would like to see happen in the anime. So yeah, thanks for sharing your creative answer I have to agree with Pichu (if I may call you that?). As interesting as that storyline is, it would quite frustrate me to see our beloved Pikachu be taken from our beloved Ash and given to a noob. And I don't know if Oak would do that to Pikachu... However, I think that Ash would finally settle down even if he's only 10. I really want Ash to just fall in love already. As much as I sincerely hope with all of my heart that it would be May, I seriously think that the writers should stop with the whole season cycle business and have something new for a change. Oh dear, I might have gotten a bit off topic there. Sorry! As for a story arc, I think that GloomyHaruka's story sounds good! Especially with a little Advanceshipping squeezed in there! Yeah, I like GloomyHaruka's story as well. My answer's gonna have ideas borrowed from her. And yeah, I agree with the rest of your post. Especially the part about Ash and how he should fall in love already, lol I'm just wondering how Pokemon X and Y are going to affect the anime. Well, I guess we're gonna have to wait and see. Hopefully, there'll be good news for us AdvanceShippers. ^_^' I guess not, but I wish. Sorry again guys. I'll post my answer real soon.

How would you like the writers to pull it off? (I mean bringing an end to Ash's adventure, and beginning a new one). And what would you like to see happen next?OK... I think there should be two series. One for the younger audience and another for the older. (This was GloomyHaruka's suggestion) So here's what i think could be done. They should start by finally having Ash win the league and become the Champion. (Probably the new region, the one in the 6th gen games) And then they could have Ash revisit the other regions by showing still-shots of Ash participating in the respective leagues, winning some and losing in the finals in others. They could then have him finally accept Scott's offer, becoming a Frontier Brain... And then, something like 15 yrs later, We see two young trainers (a girl and a boy) getting ready to set out on a journey, a new adventure. But Wait a Minute!!! Why do they look so familiar??? Well they're the kids of our fav. couple. XD Yes, they look a little like younger versions of their parents. OK, so the boy dreams of one day winning the league and becoming a champion, while his sister dreams of becoming a top coordinator. They bid their mother farewell and set out on their exciting journey. The two young trainers are seen racing hurriedly off in the distance as May looks on, a photo-frame in her hand. It's the family picture; her and Ash, and the two kids when they were still little. May says something really advanceshippy.*The End* From here, the Anime could branch into two series. The new series for the younger audience would follow the adventures of the two young trainers. As for the series for the older audience, I couldn't come up with any good plot. But yeah, it should be about some really serious stuff that happened during the fifteen years (& should be AdvanceShippy). Something like, Years have passed, Ash is a legend and an adult now, no one knows where he is. ... and then have May look for him!!! fgvdehswvgfdenvbdmsvbcnsxbfvndxs and fall in love hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng. <3 So, there it is. And guys if you've got more ideas, let's hear em.

I think Ash should go to the new regions one more time. Bring May back, so it can have more Advanceshipping time. Past friends and rivals came along. After Ash win the league and May won the grand festives, both got married and watch thier kids to go to the journey.
If somehow the writers put Ash married to random girl or Misty, I'm going to ingore everything and still support the Advanceshipping.

That'd be AWESOME!

That would really be awesome!!! No doubt about that. And I'm glad you liked what i suggested, but i didn't really come up with the whole thing. It was like the result of the discussions, prior to the post where i raised the topic. It was practically GloomyHaruka's suggestions and ideas that got me to think all of this up.

If that happened, I'd be watching it every time a new episode came up! If only my awesome HDTV had access to more channels... Well, it shows that we Advanceshippers have a common thought processing. We think of the same ideas!

Here another topics for this.
If Ash going to the new regions, who is he going to travel with ?
Well, I will say May (of course), Brock, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Tracey, Misty, Jessie and James (if somehow they got fried/quit from Team Rocket), and new boy/girl.

If Ash going to the new regions, who is he going to travel with ?
I'd like to see the following:
I, for one, would love it if a female character returned this time around (though not Iris, even if I kinda like her!). If it's May, I would literally fan-gasm to death. But if it's Dawn, it's fine with me. I doubt Misty will make a reappearance, because the creators said in an interview that she will never return as a main character. With that said, I at least expect a cameo from her at best.
Then, to put more tension for us shipping fans, they'd add a second female character, hopefully an anime counterpart for the female game character, since I feel a bit more familiar with that kinda choice. That way, there'd be two main Shippings for that series for the fans to juggle and feud over. In fact, I'd like to see an actual Shipping story arc in that manner.
Next, for the generic Brock role, they'd either have Tracey (since he's so underrated), Cilan (he's okay as a character to me), or a new boy.
Finally, I'd like to actually see Team Rocket become Ash's companions. I actually envision them being initially undercover so Giovanni can learn about the Trainer that thwarted his schemes, but then they warm up to Ash and switch to the good side. It'd be a good story arc.
And, on a side-note, I'd like to see that new series be styled like that Black 2 and White 2 animated trailer. I know I said that already, but I'll NEVER drop the subject! The anime MUST become like that!
