In this gen they are extra cool cause they can kill Steel types too.

What's friend safari?

After you beat the E4 you get access to one more city and in there is the Friend Safari. For every person on your 3DS friend list you get a couple random Pokemon of a certain type that you can try and catch. If that friend beats the E4 on their X or Y you get a third Pokemon. There was a more in depth description earlier in the thread I think if you want to look for it.
