I don't get why Beauty and the Beach was banned. I know it was later released as a 'special' episode, but why ban it in the first place? The only bad thing is the whole boob thing, and that is freaking hilarious. Plus they edited it out later, so why didn't they just do that in the first place? I agree with my wifey. Plus lots of American cartoons that kids watch have lots of twisted material and I don't see them getting banned. Yeah, but it was the fact that James offended Misty with his inflatable breasts that got it banned. Basically, it was like saying that girls with small breasts are ugly compared to girls with big breasts.

I've seen the first part of the Porygon episode, when I was watching it with a friend of mine in his room on an old fashioned TV, I never saw the strobe 'cause I went out to buy a chocolate from the sari-sari store nearby. So, his door was locked, and he never answered, and I was like "Oy pare! buksan mo ang pinto!"
You can guess what happened to him...

I once saw a small excerpt of the Porygon episode while surfing around, and I must admit, although it was a small image and I therefore didn't get any seizures, I can understand why people got seizures. Too much brightly-colored stuff. In fact, as I look back at the experience, it makes me think that they put too much brightness, even for their own comfort. Wonder why...

I've watched a clip of that episode and never got a seizure either & I actually had quite a few as a kid.
But I understand why they banned it. When I was in hospital for some treatment they tried to make me have one by flashing bright and I mean BRIGHT! Lights in my face. Not fun.
