Figured this would be a good place to put this, an entertaining little piece at least. My younger cousin was visiting for a Twins game later today and he brought his Black 2 with him so he asked for a battle saying that he would beat me. Well he did beat me the first time but it was mostly because I thought he only wanted a 3v3 triple battle. It turned out to be a 6v3 where he had 3 or 4 legendaries, including Arceus and Darkrai. My team wasn't bad but there's only so much I could do. Tried again though and while most of my lvl 100s are on Diamond, he had plenty of Fre-Type moves, and most of my 100s on Black 2 are weak to fire and none of those are legendary outside of the event Deoxys. I didn't have a true battling team on there but I did have my Snorlax brought over, and was taking the damage like it was nothing. Kyurem, White Reshiram, Darkrai, and Arceus. It took a couple sacrifices but that Snorlax was laughing at the damage so much I don't doubt that he could have taken most of my little cousin's team.
Of course it goes without saying that my cousin didn't know much about what's good and bad when it comes to battles like that. Still fun watching the attacks hit that giant ball of blubber and do virtually nothing though.

If my calculations are alright Your Delphox if the base 115 that smogon says it has is true with max iv and ev +benefit nature at level 50 it should have 183 spattack and at level 100 361 Check the iv for me, the nature and i can tell you the exact stats at level 50 or 100 cause that more easy for me www.serebii.net/games/characteristics.shtml use this to get the iv its not that hard and feel free to ask me for other pokemon but keep in mind i can only do level 50 and 100 cause that's less math for me Braixen and the others might have a few extra in there that aren't ideal. On top of that I wasn't being very exact with my numbers either. That's kinda what I meant by minor EV training, I know the typical ending point that one would want is 252 but I just let it max at 255 to make it a little easier due to me not being sure always of what else they had. As for the Sp Atk, after resetting about 15 times I got annoyed enough that I was fine with a +Spd nature. I'll try to remember Delphox's Sp Atk at 50 though cause I'm pretty sure that I maxed that first to get full EVs. At what level should you start Ev training? And should I givemy pokemon right off the bat Pokerus? Like Skarm said, it's best to start right away if you want to deal with EVs. The fewer wasted points the better, and once those are maxed out - preferably with ones that you wanted - the only way to get more is to use the berries to remove some and redo them. As for Pokerus, I can't say. I haven't really looked so far tbh cause my Pokerus is still back in my previous generations and I know my chances of finding it again before December are so slim it's not worth worrying about. Still happy that I got it by chance back in Sapphire. ---- Oh and as a bit of an announcement to everyone, I highly recommend that you try to max your Pokemon's affection via Amie rather quickly. Along with the higher crit chance and things that were mentioned with its announcement, I found a couple other great abilities too. First is bonus exp from every fight and another is a type of Endure where your Pokemon will hold on with 1 HP left after an attack. Probably more still but these three reasons alone are more than enough to take the few minutes to max it. If you do it right you can get several at once done in probably about 20-30 minutes. (don't know how to reply on your first reply only)The stats i gave you were for a +spATTAck nature so they won't match up and even if i calculated with your current nature the numbers will still be at least 4 bellow this is cause you most likely don't have max ivs without these you can't achieve max stat total, this is why most competitive battlers myself included use other methods to make our pokemon AKA legit hacking (i only used this in gen 5 tho)but with gen 6 you can't cause pokemon bank won't accept them can't really proof that yet tho, shofu said as long as the SID (secret id)is yours gamfreak won't be able to trace if you use pokegen or not but ofc you must have legit stats. so this generation competitive battles will most likely be like the old days people will mostly make 1 team only cause it takes too much time to iv breed i actually can iv breed faster cause i have a ditto for every iv ,dittos for every hidden powers But it still takes like 1 whole day just to iv breed and don't get me started with egg moves.[can you move this post to the battle and trading thread with your moderator magic?]

1.) What's Ev training 2.) does ability an nature play a role in this? 3.) What stats do you focuse on? 4.) how do you Ev train? 5.) Any places you can Ev train in X and Y? 6.) When ev training is there a certain pokemon you can only attack? What pokemon do you attack? 7.) is there math involve? If there is how do you do it?
