Can anyone give me a ditto with terrible speed iv? i need it for my Honedge, To check Your pokemon ivs talk to the ace trainer in Kiloude's city pokemon center, if it says ''stats like those simply cannot get better'' the pokemon has max ivs in the stats he previously said if he says its terrible or ''you can't let this pokemon in battle with these stats'' that means its o-5 ivs if he says that in speed give it to me.

So... the Daycare won't affect your Pokemon's stats, if you have no EV's on them? Cause I want to raise a Houndour, but also want to share them with you guys  Mega Houndoom is awesome. |

I'm not sure exactly what you mean my "affect your Pokemon's stats", so I'm just going to go but what I think it might mean. All levels gained in the Daycare are just like if you gave the Pokemon a Rare Candy. It gains the stat boost it would gain for that level depending on its base stats, IVs, and current EVs. It just doesn't add any new EVs in the process. And of course all eggs hatched will have no EVs no matter the parents. The other option that you might mean is with the IVs. For those the baby will inherit three IVs, each from a different stat and from a random parent. In addition, if either or both parents holds a Power Item, instead, the baby will receive the IV of the corresponding stat from one of those parents and the baby will then inherit two other different random IVs, each from a random parent. |

So... EV's are good to have very early then? But if you got all the Pokemon's EV's, then putting them in a Daycare would be fine? And hmm regarding the IV's, I thought a Pokemon could have over 30 IV's. So then you'd have to repeat the process of breeding over and over? |

In fact when you're trying to get a specific set of EVs it's always best to do it early so that a wild Pokemon can't mess up your numbers. Once you have maxed their EVs at 510 though, and don't use an item that decreases EVs, it doesn't matter what you do with them. They won't change. When it comes to the Daycare though the best way to put it is that the Daycare doesn't affect EVs at all. It will simply go off what EVs are already there and not modify them in any way. For the IVs, every Pokemon has an IV for a stat that ranges from 0-31. Considering you can only control the IVs so much during breeding, yes, to get all the stats with either 30 or 31 in them you would need to do a lot of breeding. Even more so if the Pokemon you put in the Daycare don't have any of that level themselves. ---- Hey Lightning, do you have an extra Togepi egg? I need it for some chain breeding. Of course usual offer of whatever you might what that I could get for your time. |
