I recently read an article about this and it was showcasing this upcoming game. To me the game is extremely exaggerated in its violence. Now I've played GTA and many others, but this just takes it to a whole other level. I'm guessing the point of it is to kill and be killed?... Anyway take a look at the small trailer and tell me what you guys think What do you guys think @thatwiseguy and Pharah? So at a time when video games are being accused of being Mass Murder Simulators, someone thought it would be a good idea to make an ACTUAL Mass Murder Simulator? And I bet that when people complain, he will just shout "ARTISTIC LIBERTY!!!! CENSORSHIP!!!!!!" and make something even worse because "MUH FREEDOM!!". --___-- As for if games make people violent, I would argue that while some take it WAY too far (see: Whatever the hell that game is) that most people will not be effected by it. I mean, I have largely the same profile as the Newtown Shooter (Aspergers, likes violent video games, bullied in school, interest in guns, stays in room most of the day, etc) and yet he killed 23 people and I havent even thrown so much as a punch at anyone. Of course, when I play my games, I also try to be the good guy. For instance, whenever I play Fallout 3, I always fight for the Brotherhood of Steel because they actually care about helping people in the Waste, and I NEVER work for the Enclave because even though I agree with President Eden, I can not help someone who wants to kill of the entire wasteland by poisoning the water supply. Or when I am playing Tropico, I am a nice dictator who gives his people jobs, nice houses, excellent services, etc. and only take a little bit of money for my secret Swiss Bank Account. Just my 2 cents on all that. Excellent response, man.

The beauty, yet a horror, of the mind is that it is so complex. We still have yet to fully understand everything about it to the point where if someone just snaps, having no issues in life, it throws everything out the window. No two person will be the exact same. You may have faced the same adversity as the Newton Shooter, but two of you have different mental structures the enabled two different reactions and different ways of coping. Video games as a whole, can delude and/or encourage positive and negative messages sent to those who seem easily susceptible to them. I also agree about the guy making the game will be complaining about his artistic liberty, however that won't take away the criticism of the game and his development. People will be aware of who he is and will most likely not want to associate anything with him. In fact, Epic Games even distanced themselves from the developer and removed his game from a list of those using it to develop games and whatnot. His legacy has already been marked.

While I was in the Philippines, I played an old GTA game belonging to one of my relatives. It helped to vent out my anger, but that was all it did. I didn't feel any murderous urges or anything else.

Video games don't cause violence. But they apparently cause misogyny now. Who would have thought? These past two fucking months fucking hell man.

They don't but idiots like corrupt politicians, murderers, them recent deaths were cold blooded murder and the authorities know they fucked up and they're making any excuse to justify their cock ups, racists, sexists, homophobics, extremists, kiddy fuckers ect ect do!
Nobody wants to accept responsibility for the violence so they blame it on video games.
