Also, under any circumstances, has Ash ever cried for when he departed with anyone but Misty?
His goodbye with May did not nearly affect him as much, as he did with Misty.
I'd also like to add the fact that at the very end of Advance Generation, May went to Drew in Johto.
It's quite obvious May, Drew, Harley, and Solidad are traveling with each other. As seen in May's return in Diamond and Pearl. The three are watching May from Ecruteak City. It's that obvious.

But can Drew give May the D? I think not. Implying Ash gave May the DIn which he didn't.

So basically, it has boiled down to this: I expected more from you Advancers. Oh so much more.

We just don't care. I prefer not bashing on a ship. Sorry.

It has been hinted throughout the series that May and Drew have unrequited feelings for each other that peaked with the 'Unbelievable Lightness of Seeing'.

It's not that no fun is allowed. It's mostly sitting around two things.
First is that nowadays most people don't care as much about the debates between shippings. The four largest shippings (which may very well be down to three again) are completely outside of the current series and are effectively on even standing with each other.
This also moves into the second reason, the lack of topics to debate about. Most of what you mentioned was around years ago and was debated into the ground with neither side giving any real acceptance to either's hints. And because both sides haven't gotten any real hints in a while they're both stagnant.
So there's nothing wrong about making this thread and we have no reason to close it down but you just won't get serious responses many places these days.

Also, Ash cried when Misty and Brock left him. He wants to give Brock the D too?

May and Max's farewell was much better done than Misty and Brock's farewell. Similarly,Brock's farewell at the end of DP was also much better than Gotta catch ya later. It is one of my favourite moments in the anime. That simple bro shake meant a hell lot more than Misty and Brock's gifts and Ash's crying fit. All they say to each other is "You can do it, Pokemon Doctor Brock" and "Pokemon Master Ash, you can too". That was beautiful. Tell me with a straight face that Misty's departure was better. You can't. Because it isn't. The scene is also a great callback to a similar scene at the end of Battle Frontier. When Misty left the show i was a kid. When Brock left, i was almost an adult. I didn't cry when Misty and Brock left back then. I cried when Brock left for good.
