I was not trying to be racist. It was a mere fact to be mentioned. If you live in a highly populated area filled with Japanese people then you would understand. Even my friend that lives in Japan and is still an advanceshipper agrees with me because he actually lives there, unlike all of us here.... And yes, you are right. Ash is voiced by a woman as most of us know already. Not necessarily proven wrong because of a VA in Pokemon. Ash is needed to be voiced by a woman because he is obviously ten. Therefore, why get a male VA when you need a more feminine voice? That is a really dangerous assumption to make, and it tells me you don't watch a lot of subbed anime. Okay, that's fine. But that's your opinion. I already clarified why I said that.

That's uh... kinda racist, don't ya think? And kinda proven wrong by the Pokémon anime itself. Ash/Satoshi is voiced by a woman in the Japanese dub. I was not trying to be racist. It was a mere fact to be mentioned. If you live in a highly populated area filled with Japanese people then you would understand. Um, I’m going to interject as someone who spent time living in Japan, as well as studied language and dialect in school, they do not all sound the same. Just like anywhere else, everyone sounds different. There are all sorts of different dialects and tones in every country.

I was told by Wubbzy that none of the advancers can speak and read Japanese on this forum. So Good, it is actually confirmed this time. My friend who is married and has kids in Japan lives in Kumamoto. He agrees with me otherwise because he has lived there for decades. So he has understanding rather than knowledge...

I lived there for six weeks during a mission trip where I practice English conversation with locals there. This was a few years back. I currently live in the US, but I also have a friend who is a missionary there with his wife. This is just based on my experience. I heard a number of different vocal tones and dialects while I was there. I can speak a little bit of Japanese, but I'm still learning. I can't really read it, especially kanji. Romanji is a bit easier, but I only know some basic phrases from my time there.

Such response is really not what I expected. I am interested in what you are preaching. However, even though I am interested in your message I will have to omit what I want to say here. For this thread is only an anime discussion thread. May I PM you?

Honestly I feel the anime made a mistake keeping Ash around. After winning the Alola League, he should have retired and enjoyed a much more normal life.

To be honest, Sinnoh or Kalos were his perfect opportunities to leave. If he didn't leave during either series, then there's no way he's ever going to leave.

Definitely feel DP should have been Ash's last series as MC. (Namely, due to Paul feeling like the final boss of Ash's story.) If they had to keep Ash around, he should have moved into a DMC 4 and 5 Dante role, still active in battling while mentoring and sort of acting as a rival to new main characters that take centre stage.

Personally, I think there’s a chance he might leave after this current series, because the only issue I have with the idea of it (I really love it btw) is that there’s not really anywhere for Ash to go if he defeats Leon and becomes number one. I mean, they might figure something out, but who knows?
But I do love the current series. What they are doing makes way more sense story wise after Ash finally won a championship. I know some people are disappointed he didn’t solely take on the Galar League, but with the way the games are set up, with various gym leaders taking on the Champion himself at times, the current structure of Ash facing various other powerful trainers makes the most sense. It just doesn’t leave much for when they inevitably move to Gen 9. Cannot wait for the Alola gang to appear and the new opening is so hype.
Also, not a huge fan of Ash having two Fighting types (Not sure Farfetch’d was needed), but not nearly as bad as when as Ash had three Flying-types and two Dragon-types.

Sounds like they're doing that with Leon right now.
