Man... Even though I don't want to be I can't help but be a little bit disappointed with the direct.
Ininiroar was always kinda meh for me, Isaac (while new moves and spiffy looking model) is an assist trophy, and Bandanna Waddle Dee getting the shaft are a bit of a mood killer for me.
That said, HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! That trailer for Spirits mode was so fucking awesome!!!
R.I.P. The Grinch Leak. The people who were super against it are going to be so unbearably fucking smug about this and I fucking hate it.

They announced more assist trophies, as well as some other game features, and the Piranha Plant is going to be the first of several DLC characters that will be added to the game some time after its release. Also, they announced the Adventure Mode, World of Light. |

I dunno. I find Incineroar's command(?) grab to be very unique and something I can't wait to try out. (Still probably going to pick up the classic Links with Shulk as a secondary, though, lol)
The only thing I still hope for regarding Spirits is a gallery with flavor text like trophies. Trophies may be nixed, but collecting what is essentially trophies/stickers, I bet, is still going to be a huge draw for older Smash players. Maybe a compendium of them of sorts?
All in all, I kept my expectations reasonable, and what I got exceeded them, so I'm really happy! That World of Light trailer!
